2018 USEA Convention Track Preview: USEA

In just over a month, eventers from all around the country will be gathering at the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel in New Orleans, Louisiana, December 6-9, for the 2018 USEA Annual Meeting and Convention featuring the USEA's Eventing Hall of Fame! We’ve previewed two different convention tracks, “Eventers" and "Events", and we’ve got one more left: the “USEA” track. The "USEA" track includes events that will take place at this year's convention that no participant should miss. Take a look at some of the fantastic events and presentations we have lined up for the entire audience at this year’s convention.

USEA Board of Governors Meeting
Thursday, December 6, 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

The USEA Board of Governors meeting focuses on the reports of the USEA committees and general business of the Association. All USEA members are welcome to sit in and hear what is currently taking place on the USEA agenda.

USEA Board of Governors Reception
Thursday, December 6, 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
In the true eventing spirit of good times, good food, and good friends, the Board of Governors will welcome everyone to the 2018 USEA Annual Meeting and Convention with a reception. The reception is open to all Convention attendees and will kick off the festivities in style on Thursday evening. Everyone is invited to enjoy tasty hors d’oeuvres and drinks while meeting members of the USEA Board of Governors and catching up with friends.

USEA Year End Awards Lunch
Friday, December 7, 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Master of Ceremonies: Jim Wofford

Friday’s Year-End Awards Lunch will once again feature eventing legend Jim Wofford as the Master of Ceremonies. Come and accept your award or cheer on your friends, fellow riders, volunteers, and other members of the sport who have achieved recognition for their achievements and success this year.

USEA Annual Meeting of Members with Keynote Speaker Erik Duvander
Saturday, December 8, 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.

The USEA Annual Meeting of Members is an important part of the weekend as we bid a fond farewell to the Board of Governors members who have completed their terms, welcome our new Board of Governors members with smiles, and discuss important Association business. This year Erik Duvander, U.S. Eventing High Performance Director, will give the keynote address.

USEA’s Eventing Hall of Fame Gala
Saturday, December 8, Cocktails 5:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. | Dinner 6:15 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.

The USEA’s Eventing Hall of Fame honors the accomplishments, contributions, and dedication of members of the eventing community who have truly made a difference to the sport. Induction into the USEA’s Eventing Hall of Fame is U.S. eventing's highest honor. This year the USEA is celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Hall of Fame and inducting six new members. Join us for the USEA’s Eventing Hall of Fame Gala to celebrate this momentous occasion.

USEA Board of Governors Meeting
Sunday, December 9, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

The USEA Board of Governors meeting focuses on the reports of the USEA committees and general business of the Association. All USEA members are welcome to sit in and hear what is currently taking place on the USEA agenda.

Registration will be open daily on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Each moring, a Continental Breakfast will be served from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. The trade fair will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday and 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Sunday.
