This year’s pre-Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event USEA Official Podcast isn’t a traditional preview show, but rather Host Nicole Brown and the team of Max Corcoran, Rob Burk, and Diarm Byrne are discussing their favorite Kentucky memories as everyone gets giddy for the 2021 event!
“Pulling into the horse park when you are going there for the three-day event is so exciting. . . getting there is half the battle. You have worked so hard and when you pull in . . . there is a lot of energy and it is pretty cool,” started off Corcoran with her favorite memory.
Corcoran shares some of the behind-the-scenes back in the barns from her experience as a groom with many Kentuckys under her belt.
For Burk – he has been there as a groom, volunteer, official, and fan. His favorite memory is from the kiss and cry and watching his kids experience the sport and also watching Teddy O’Connor on course.
Byrne said he has come in from an outside point of view and over the years he has found eventing and found U.S. Eventing and Kentucky is the center of the sport where he was able to see so much come to life.
Brown’s favorite memory of Kentucky is a photo of Andrew Nicholson casually jumping into the head of the lake, but also Mary King’s one-two win.
Byrne then jumps in with a teaser of the EquiRatings' article that will be coming in the next issue of Eventing USA which focuses on world number ones and Kentucky. You won’t want to miss this issue so make sure your membership is current to get it in your mailbox!
