It’s a special episode of Team Talk this week as we are bringing you a Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event debrief with USEF Eventing High Performance Director Erik Duvander and USEF Managing Director for Eventing Jenni Autry. The episode was recorded the Tuesday after the event, so all the action of the week was fresh in their minds.

Host Nicole Brown walked through the highs and lows of each phase of competition as it related to the U.S. high performance riders with Duvander and Autry in an exclusive behind-the-scenes interview. Since the event has ended Duvander has been reviewing a lot of video and looking into the individual performances of the riders so the process continues for him as he will meet with each of them.
“We can do it. . . We are close enough. We need to get all the detail in place – we got smashed, but we still have the hope and hope is better to work with. We keep on the way we are doing it and it will come our way – we don’t know when but hopefully soon,” said Duvander.
All eyes are now looking ahead to Jersey Fresh which is the last selection trial for the team for the Olympics. The Kentucky horses will have a few weeks break before training resumes with Peter Wylde and Duvander traveling around to the riders’ bases. Then it is all about refreshing the internet on June 1 to find out the team announcement ahead of Tokyo.
