The SmartPak Equine/USEA Preliminary Three-Day at the Virginia Horse Trials is one of only four classic long format events at the Preliminary level left in the world. Five riders got the chance to experience the thrill of the ‘chase at the beautiful Oakhill course at the Virginia Horse Center in Lexington, Virginia. The top three pairs going into show jumping tomorrow are Hope Nicyper-Meryman and Optical Illusion, Joanne Gelarden and Shackleton, and Erin Kimmer and Coltrane.
