Last Wednesday, October 1, 25 stunning young eventing prospects gathered to strut their stuff and wow the judges at the 2008 USEA/EMCO Future Event Horse Championships held at Morven Park in Leesburg, Virginia. She was well-handled by Christine Smith, and received a 69.5 and a first place ribbon!Katie Willis & Featuring Abigail were next to go.Featuring Abigail is an Oldenburg by Weltstern and out of Starring Amanda.Owned by Kim Pribble, this lovely filly was shown by Katie and received a score of 64.8 and a third place.Christine Smith showed Kilronan's Killara for owners Larry and Michelle Robbins of Kilronan Irish Draughts.Killara is an Irish Draught sired by Glenlara and out of Kibline.Owner Michelle was pleased with Killara's performance which earned her a 65.15.Dominique Carson handled Brett Schrack's filly DeLiza.DeLiza was feeling especially frisky in the crisp morning air, but decided to pose for a few photo ops.DeLiza is an Oldenburg sired by DeLaurentis and out of Dutch TreattDominique also handled her mother's filly Whisper to Heaven.What's not to love about this face?Whisper to Heaven is a Welsh/Thoroughbred filly sired by Menai Mister Mostyn and out of Heaven Forbid.And another one of Dominque and DeLiza...just because it's a great shot! :)
