What’s a Hunter Pace? The Sherwood Forest Equestrian Center's Hunter Pace is a cross-country-style course around Sherwood Forest over various natural obstacles/terrain. The course ends with a final treat for riders to take in stunning views of Mt. Hood with a loop through the old Far Hill Farms field. The beginning of the course will first start with a warm-up loop around show jumping obstacles in the outdoor ring at Sherwood Forest and then riders will continue directly onto the course. Sign up as a solo rider, pair, or team.
This is an educational activity to promote the grassroots of eventing and safe cross-country riding practices. All jumps are optional and open to all disciplines of riding. Yes, it is okay to sign up with your trainer to ride along with you! Several event coaches will be stationed throughout the course and available for additional help.
This is NOT a race! Please wear a watch and time yourself. A secret optimum time will be established for each level that appropriately negotiates the obstacles/terrain. The rider or riders closest to the optimum time wins!
First ride starts at 10:00 am and will finish the day with a BBQ! Come hang out for the day!
We will open up our top field off of SW Westfall Rd. for parking so that participants can easily tie to their trailers. Limited stabling is also available.

Somehow we are a quarter of the way through the 21st century. Finally, more and more eventing organizers and professionals are embracing digital tools to improve efficiency while increasing access to the sport.
