USEA Announces Partnership with Horseware Ireland

By Claire Kelley - USEA Staff

The United States Eventing Association (USEA) is excited to announce the partnership with Horseware Ireland for the 2019 USEA American Eventing Championships (AEC). As a Bronze Level Sponsor, Horseware Ireland will provide 22 embroidered show coolers for each AEC champion. This year’s AEC will be held on August 27-September 1, 2019 at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky.

Horseware Ireland was founded by Tom and Carol MacGuinness in Dundalk, Ireland in 1985. After months of research and hand-stitching, the prototype of the now iconic Rambo Original was born, setting the standard for modern rug design. Their determination to produce a rug that didn’t leak, didn’t make the horse sweat, and didn’t slip led to the creation of the first fully waterproof and breathable turnout rug that really worked.

Since 1985 the Irish company has grown into one of the world’s most trusted producer of horse rugs. They offer horse rugs for every season and every occasion. The company brands include Rambo, Rhino, Amigo, Mio, and Rambo Micklem. In addition to horse clothing, they also offer products for women, men, children, and pets.

“We are very grateful for the support of Horseware Ireland,” said USEA CEO Rob Burk. “Horseware Ireland has set the industry standard for exceptional horse rugs. Their unwavering commitment to creating a durable, comfortable, and highly effective product is why they are one of the best horse clothing companies in the world. I trust the products that Horseware Ireland has to offer.”

Did you know that the United States has more frangible fences than any other country? Frangible technology has been around for nearly 100 years with the British Pin taking the honors as the first formal frangible device. The study of frangible fences has continued in the last decade, including the USEA Collapsible Fence Technology Study which was conducted through the University of Kentucky from 2016-2018.
