USEA and Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation Continue Commitment to Equine Education

By Abigail Fulmer - USEA Staff | Press Release | June 10, 2026

The United States Eventing Association, Inc. (USEA) is pleased to announce the renewal of its partnership with the Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation, a leading supporter of equine health research and education. Through the agreement, Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation will continue as an Official USEA Educational Partner. Grayson-Jockey Club will also support the USEA American Eventing Championships (AEC) as a Bronze Level Sponsor and the USEA Annual Meeting and Conventions as a Contributing Sponsor.

For more than four decades, the Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation has advanced scientific research that benefits horses of all breeds and disciplines. Since 1983, the organization has funded more than 400 research projects at 45 universities, supporting studies that improve equine health, soundness, and welfare.

“Our partnership with the United States Eventing Association helps ensure that equine research has a direct and meaningful impact on the horses USEA members ride, compete, and care for every day, "said Jamie Haydon, President of Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation. "Through Grayson-funded research, veterinarians, riders, owners, and care teams gain access to advanced insights on injury prevention, diagnostics, rehabilitation, reproductive health, and equine safety—allowing for more informed decisions and better outcomes for the horse.

“Research is not something that happens only in a laboratory, and its impact is felt in barns, at competitions, and in the everyday care of horses across all equestrian sports. Together with USEA, we help translate science into practical tools and knowledge that support healthier horses, safer competition, and a stronger future for eventing,” said Haydon.

As part of the partnership, Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation will provide quarterly educational articles for publication on the USEA website and social media channels, with additional distribution through the USEA eNewsletter. The partnership will also include collaborative educational opportunities throughout the year, including educational content and research-focused initiatives designed to benefit USEA members and the broader equestrian community.

“Education and horse welfare are at the core of the USEA’s mission, and our continued partnership with the Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation helps strengthen both,” said USEA CEO Rob Burk. “Their ongoing investment in equine research provides meaningful benefits to riders, owners, and horses throughout our community.”
