The first USEA Classic Series competition of the year kicked off on June 3, 2022, at the IEA Horse Trials in Edinburgh, Indiana. Offering both Novice and Training level divisions of the classic three-day format, the IEA Classic Series event is a staple in the midwestern eventing calendar since it hosted its first Classic Series event in 2009 at the Training level.

IEA Horse Trial in Edinburgh, Indiana, hosted the year’s first USEA Classic Series Three-Day Event on June 3-6, 2021. Offering Training Three-Day and Novice Three-Day divisions, the event drew a total of 37 entries – 13 in the Training Three-Day and 24 in the Novice Three-Day.
The Training Three-Day welcomed a victory for Brooke Kahl and Nata Montada SCF, her own eight-year-old Belgian Warmblood gelding (Baldev x Whinny II), with 31.9 penalties. Second went to Sarah Younger and her own Power Trip, who were sitting in sixth place after dressage but finished with a score of 33.9. Third went to Hannah Maloney riding her own Phoenyx to 35.8.

The Indiana Eventing Association (IEA) Horse Trials hosted the second Hylofit USEA Classic Series Event of the 2019 season over the first weekend in June at the Hoosier Horse Park in Edinburgh, Indiana. The Training and Novice Three-Day divisions were the highlight of the weekend with Illinois natives Erin Walsh and Caroline Charette taking home top honors on their off-the-track Thoroughbreds.
The Indiana Eventing Association (IEA) Horse Trials take place once a year in early June at Hoosier Horse Park (HHP) in Edinburgh, Indianan (Area VIII) offering Starter through Intermediate/Preliminary levels and USEA Classic Series Novice and Training Three-Day divisions. The cross-country course is open year-round for schooling and the Horse Park hosts schooling shows, combined tests, breed shows, rodeos, barrel racing, Pony Club rallies, and combined driving events.

Edinburgh, Ind. is where Mindy Kutzner and Frankie Smorch came out on top in the Training and Novice Three-Days at IEA Horse Trials and Three-Day Event on May 31-June 3.

The final day of the Indiana Eventing Association (IEA) Horse Trials and Training and Novice Three-Day Events was action packed and blessed with a fourth day of sunny, warm weather.
The day that everyone had been waiting for had arrived – the endurance phase including two sessions of roads and tracks, the all-important and much discussed steeplechase, and finally Jon Wells' cross-country course featuring a brand new second water complex.
