For the first time, the annual USEA ECP Symposium will be heading West to offer this three-day, immersive educational experience to a wider audience of interested candidates. On January 14-16, 2025, the ECP Symposium will be hosted by Galway Downs in Temecula, California, and all are encouraged to attend. Whether you are an interested coach, rider, parents, owner, breeder, or avid supporter of the sport of eventing, there is a place for you to learn at next year’s symposium.
This summer, five USEA Emerging Athlete 21 (EA21) Clinics took place across the country giving young riders the opportunity to hone in on their horsemanship skills, improve their consistency in the saddle and show ring, and create a pipeline for potential team riders by identifying and developing young talent. We caught up with many of the riders from the two West Coast sessions to hear their takes on the USEA’s newest program.
The final West Coast winners have been crowned at the 2022 Dutta Corp. USEA YEH West Coast Championships and USEA FEH West Coast Championships. On the final day of competition at Twin Rivers Ranch in Paso Robles, California, eager owners, anxious riders, and excited spectators watched as the respective judges determined the fate of their young horses in the YEH West Coast 4-Year-Old and 5-Year-Old divisions as well as in the FEH West Coast 3-Year-Old and 4-Year-Old divisions. With the young mounts competing for their respective titles this weekend producing some of the highest scores across all regional championships, the West Coast is proving it could be the best coast.
