Co Cork, Ireland – With some challenges and a new Olympic format to contend with, The Land Rover U.S. Eventing Team persevered this weekend during the FEI Eventing Nations Cup Ireland at the Millstreet International Horse Trials, finishing fifth.
The Land Rover U.S. Eventing Team is set to contest FEI Eventing Nations Cup Ireland at the Millstreet International Horse Trials, August 22 – 26. Led by Chef d’Equipe Erik Duvander, the U.S. team of Buck Davidson with Carlevo, 2018 Karen Stives Endowment Fund Grant recipient Hallie Coon with Celien, and Liz Halliday-Sharp with Deniro Z will look to add experience in the new Olympic eventing format to their resumes.
Lexington, Ky. – US Equestrian has announced the combinations that will compete on the Land Rover U.S. Eventing Team for the FEI Eventing Nations Cup™ Ireland at the Millstreet International Horse Trials, August 22 through 26. The Millstreet CICO3* will serve as the second Olympic format trial event for the new, eventing Olympic competition format. The U.S. team will compete under the guidance of U.S. Eventing Chef d’Equipe Erik Duvander.
Great Britain’s Izzy Taylor recorded her second success of the week at Millstreet in Co. Cork as she won the feature Noel C. Duggan Engineering CCI3* on the closing day of the 2017 Millstreet International Horse Trials.
After a strong start in Noel C. Duggan Engineering CCI3* division at the Millstreet International Horse Trials on Friday, Jennie Brannigan and Stella Artois and continued their top form on Saturday’s cross-country day. The pair earned a dressage score of 47.10, then tallied 4.80 time penalties on the cross-country course to sit in fifth place heading into the show jumping phase on Sunday.
A small but mighty field contested the Millstreet International Horse Trials CCI3* this weekend with Jacqueline B. Mars Competition Grant recipient Lillian Heard giving a stellar performance to finish in fourth place.
