ProChaps to Sponsor USEA Young Riders Instructor Recognition Awards

Lexington, Kentucky, November 5, 2012- PROCHAPS, a Canadian manufacturer of high-performance riding chaps, is proud to announce its sponsorship of the unique new "PROCHAPS/USEA YOUNG RIDERS' INSTRUCTOR RECOGNITION AWARDS" program.

To recognize and promote the critical role the Instructor plays in the development of Young Riders, PROCHAPS will give a free pair of chaps to the winning Rider and his/her Instructor of each Junior Rider Division of the National Leaderboard, and the Instructor at the Area level. Jo Whitehouse, Chief Executive Officer of USEA commented, "We really appreciate PROCHAPS supporting this important initiative. We know that the engagement of Instructors is fundamental to success of eventing at all levels, especially for Young Riders Program."

This program is designed to acknowledge the vital contribution of the instructors in the support and development of Young Riders in the sport of eventing. The top Rider and Instructor of the Young Rider Division of the National Leaderboard will receive a pair of free chaps, and the top 10 will be recognized at the National Convention in Colorado Springs on December 7, 2012.

To provide additional recognition for Instructors, the program extends to all USEA Areas, where the Instructor of the winner of each Junior Rider Division will receive a pair of free chaps, and the top 10 recognized.

PROCHAPS and USEA Young Riders are also launching a unique fundraising program. USEA Young Riders will be selling PROCHAPS, with up to 20% of the proceeds going directly to support the Young Rider program. PROCHAPS are only available online, so the transaction will only require the code for the Young Rider and/or USEA Area.

"We are honored to partner with USEA and the Young Rider Program, particularly in recognizing the contribution of Instructors" declared Jean Larivée, CEO of PROCHAPS. "We are true believers that Young Riders is a core program for USEA and bringing more attention to the instructors is a great way to expand its visibility."
He also noted that PROCHAPS has previously sponsored the Area 1 NAJYRC Team and the chaps are used by many leading eventers.

PROCHAPS is a Canadian company that, using innovative materials, has radically advanced the construction of riding chaps with cutting edge perfection with breathable and waterproof quality leather that is both comfortable and functional for the rider. They allow the rider closer contact with the horse and feature a bold and stylish design that is flattering to the figure, and fits perfectly from the first time you wear them.

Involvement in the program helps to instill in Young Riders important moral values, such as responsibility and work ethic, as they grow into mature adults. www.useventing.com/programs/youngriders
