Know Before You Go: Helpful Information for the USEA American Eventing Championships Competitors & Attendees

By Jen Sedlatschek - Equestrian Events, Inc. | August 18, 2026

The USEA American Eventing Championships presented by Nutrena Feeds are just around the corner! To help ensure a smooth arrival and a successful week at the Kentucky Horse Park, competitors, owners, grooms, volunteers, and supporters are encouraged to review the following information before traveling to Lexington.

Download the USEA AEC Mobile App

Before arriving, be sure to download the official USEA AEC Mobile App. The app serves as your go-to resource throughout the week, featuring event maps, schedules, announcements, volunteer opportunities, and other important event information.

Download the app on the Apple App Store here or on the Google Play Store here.

Join the AEC Competitor WhatsApp Group

In addition to the USEA AEC App, the USEA and co-organizers Equestrian Events, Inc. and Mary Fike will be utilizing the 2026 AEC Competitors WhatsApp group to time sensitive event updates once the AEC has started. This may include schedule updates, weather delays, exciting activities for attendees, and more! Join the group today by scanning the QR code to the right or click here to open WhatsApp.

Volunteer Opportunities Available

Volunteers are the backbone of the USEA American Eventing Championships, and there are still opportunities to get involved throughout the week. Parents, competitors, family members, friends, and other affiliated individuals are encouraged to lend a hand—even if only for an hour. Many volunteer positions require no previous experience, and every volunteer helps make the championships possible.

Volunteer registration is available through the USEA AEC Mobile App or here on EventingVolunteers.com.

Arrival & Stabling

Upon entering the Kentucky Horse Park through the main entrance on Iron Works Pike, take the second exit at the roundabout onto Cigar Lane toward the horse pastures. Continue past the playground and the Big Barn until reaching the four-way intersection. From there, reference the official AEC stabling map to navigate to your assigned barn.

All competitors arriving with horses should be prepared to present a negative Coggins and health certificate to the Kentucky state veterinarians upon arrival.

If you experience any stabling concerns, please visit the Show Office, where staff will work to resolve issues as quickly as possible. The Show Office will open at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 24, with daily operating hours posted outside the office throughout the event. Competitors must fill out stabling form upon entering the competition. Questions prior to arrival may be directed to [email protected].

Maps identifying warm-up areas, competition venues, and other key locations will also be available at the Show Office.

Bedding, Stall Mats & Golf Cart Rentals

Dever, Inc. is the official on-site provider for golf cart rentals, bedding, hay, feed, stall mats, and a limited number of round pens. Competitors are strongly encouraged to reserve golf carts and supplies as early as possible, as quantities are limited. Equipment and supplies can be reserved by clicking here.

Conveniently located on Walt Robertson Road adjacent to the designated trailer parking area, Dever allows competitors to order bedding, hay, stall mats, and other supplies in advance for delivery directly to your assigned stall prior to arrival.

Please note that Barns C and D are already equipped with stall mats. Competitors stabled in all other barns should arrange stall mat rentals through Dever if desired.

Trailer Parking

After unloading horses, trailers must be moved to the designated trailer parking area located on Walt Robertson Road beyond the Alltech Arena, across from the Secretariat Center and just past Dever.

To maximize available parking for all competitors, trailers should be parked neatly and as directed. Please do not park along roadways.

Please note that overnight sleeping in dropped trailer parking is not permitted; it is only permitted in a paid camping spot within the KHP Campground.

Parking & Vehicle Access

General parking is complimentary for AEC competitors and affiliated individuals.

Please note that a separate event may be taking place at the Alltech Arena during the week, and parking in the Alltech Arena lot may be subject to separate parking fees. AEC participants are encouraged to utilize designated event parking areas.

All vehicles must enter and exit the Kentucky Horse Park through the main entrance gates. Campground gates should not be used for vehicle access. Golf carts, however, may travel between the campground and competition grounds via Marks Lane and Nina Bonnie Boulevard.

Campers staying in the Kentucky Horse Park Campground should enter through the campground entrance off Iron Works Pike and check in at the campground store upon arrival. Those traveling between the campground and competition grounds by vehicle must exit through the main Kentucky Horse Park entrance before re-entering through the campground entrance.

Horse Traffic & Facility Policies

For the safety of horses, competitors, and spectators, horses must remain on designated horse paths throughout the Kentucky Horse Park. Horses are not permitted on Nina Bonnie Boulevard.

Additionally, no wheeled vehicles are permitted on the cross-country course at any time, including bicycles, scooters, golf carts, cars, or similar vehicles.

On-Site Services

Show farriers will be available throughout the week and located at the farrier station adjacent to the Show Office.

A variety of food options will also be available across the Kentucky Horse Park, including the Nicholson Café and Trolley Stop Café, as well as numerous food vendors located near Rolex Stadium and Walnut Arena throughout the championships.

VIP Hospitality & Parties

Throughout the week, competitors and spectators are invited to enjoy a variety of hospitality events and social gatherings.

Competitors should review their included hospitality benefits and ticket allotments prior to arrival. Additional VIP Hospitality and party tickets are available for purchase online here.
