Arcadia, CA, June 8 -- HRTV (R) will continue its mission to offer the best in equestrian programming when H&C on HRTV presents prestigious in-depth highlights of the famous 2011 Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials from Gloucestershire, England, beginning on Monday, June 13 at 9:30 p.m. ET/6:30 p.m. PT.

This special seven-hour presentation comes to HRTV through an agreement with H&C in the UK and will offer viewers the opportunity to watch on back-to-back days. On Monday, two hours of H&C on HRTV coverage will include the 2011 Cross Country Course Walk, the Dressage Trials and the dramatic Showjumping phase.

On Tuesday, June 14, this exclusive airing will continue with a special, unprecedented five-hour premiere of the Cross Country phase, commencing at 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT. Eighty-two jockeys participated in the grueling competition, requiring navigation of miles of terrain with gates, obstacles, ponds, hedges and jumps. It presents riders with a difficult test of endurance and agility.

HRTV will re-air this special programming during the weeks on July 13 and 20. After the premiere, viewers may access the HRTV broadcast schedule at www.hrtv.com for additional air dates and times, or go to www.HRTVLive.com for online viewing.

"HRTV is proud to present this extensive coverage of this year's renowned Badminton Horse Trials," said Jim Bates, Executive Vice President and General Manager of HRTV. "The equestrian programming we are delivering to horse enthusiasts continues to grow with similar world class events."

The 62nd running of the Badminton Horse Trials, which began in 1949, was a three-day that took place in late April. One of the sport's premier events, and one of three Federation Equestre Internationale (FEI) 4-star events contested annually, it consists of three disciplines -- Dressage, Showjumping, and Cross Country.

The Badminton Horse Trials competition is the second international event in the annual Rolex Grand Slam of Eventing series, that began with the Rolex Kentucky Three Day Eventing in Lexington and concludes at the Burghley Horse Trials near Stamford, England. Since beginning the three-part series in 1999, only one rider, Pippa Funnel, has won the $350,000 grand prize.
