Equine Fatality at the Majestic Oaks Ocala H.T.

Reddick, FL - The organizing committee of the Majestic Oaks Ocala H.T. is sad to report that No Limits, Oops a 16-year-old gelding ridden by Aline Briot in the Training Rider division experienced a fall at fence 17 on the cross-country course. The horse received immediate veterinary attention at the fence and was euthanized onsite. Aline Briot was uninjured in the fall.

A necropsy of No Limits, Oops will be performed at the University of Florida and more information will be provided as it becomes available.

The USEA and USEF extend our condolences to all of No Limits, Oops' connections.

Fast Facts: The Eventing Championships at Galway Downs

One of the final CCI4*-Ls of the 2024 season takes place this weekend during The Eventing Championships at Galway Downs in Temecula, California. In addition to hosting the USEA Area VI Championships, Galway Downs is also offering CCI1*-L, CCI2*-L, CCI3*-L, and CCI4*-L divisions to allow West Coast competitors to close out their 2024 season with a bang!

The VIP Volunteer: Rebecca Proetto Keeps Things Running Smoothly at the MARS Maryland 5 Star

Scattered among the eventers and horses at the MARS Maryland 5 Star horse inspection in October were volunteers dressed smartly in matching red shirts. While all eyes were on the athletes, they worked behind the scenes, ensuring the event ran smoothly. The event was particularly special for volunteer Rebecca Proetto, who kept records and guided the athletes at the end of the jog strip.
