It is with deep regret that the USEA announces the passing of Andrea Leatherman's 7-year-old Thoroughbred mare, Neveah, after a fall at the Ocala Horse Trials today. We send our greatest condolences to Andrea and all of Neveah's connections.
The CCI One Star top of the leader board for April 15th at the Florida Horse Park is Robin Walker riding Someday Never Comes with a final score of 47.10 and taking home $1500 of the Maui Jim award monies. Second place is Leslie Law and Kool Aldo with $1250; third place: Lauren Kieffer on Ron Reagan for $1000; fourth place: Samantha St. Jacques and Jaeda for $750 and fifth place: Victoria New riding Fleeceworks mystere du val for $500 prize monies. The total Maui Jim award monies: $4,000.
It is with great sadness that Equiventures, organizers of the Ocala Horse Properties Winter 2 Horse Trials, as well as the USEA reports on the tragic loss of Jack’s Irish Z in this afternoon’s Intermediate division. Katlyn Hewson, the owner/rider of Irish, was not injured in the incident.
EquiVentures presents their first annual St. Patrick’s Day Jumper Derby and Party! The Derby will offer two courses with a combination of show jumping and cross-country fences at training and preliminary heights. There will also be prize money, music, BBQ, and a fun party for the volunteers from the USEA recognized events.
