Pollard Eventing has launched a campaign to raise awareness for the safe transport of horses and to research improved safety measures for trailers. This initiative follows overwhelming response to the fatal traffic accident in May 2012 in which three international event horses were lost when Michael’s trailer turned over.

Michael Pollard & John Bryant's 11-year-old Irish Sport Horse gelding Jude's Law (Jude), was euthanized on Sunday May 27th 2012 at Rood & Riddle Veterinary Clinic in Lexington, KY. The horse sustained fatal injuries in a traffic accident which manifested this morning, and he was rushed from the Pollard Eventing Training Center in Dalton, GA to the Lexington Clinic.
Michael Pollard's team of international event horses was involved in a road traffic accident just five miles from his training center in Dalton, Georgia this morning when their trailer turned over trapping all six horses on board. Five horses were cut free and survived with lacerations but tragically Michael's new stallion VDL Ulando H died at the scene.
