A Look Inside the 2011 Pan American Games

Every four years athletes from Argentina to Canada compete in 46 different sports ranging from Archery to Wrestling. This October 14-30 Guadalajara, Mexico and surrounding cities will host the XVI Pan American Games (Pan Ams). The equestrian portions of the games include individual and team Dressage, Jumping, and Eventing.

“BEEP, BEEP, BEEP!!” the 5:30 a.m. alarm sounds. Begrudgingly, I scramble out of bed, stager across the bedroom carpet, drop to all fours and climb under my desk to search for the source of the hideous alarm and silence it (such distant placement of the alarm clock forces my arousal).
