Lexington, Ky.—Aug. 27—Competitors in the ARMA USEA Training Championship divisions left the start box on Thursday at the 2026 USEA American Eventing Championships (AEC) presented by Nutrena Feeds, tackling their second phase of competition across the Kentucky Horse Park. With cross-country now in the books, the leaderboard has taken shape, and the stage is set for an exciting final day as competitors turn their attention to show jumping and the chance to be crowned an AEC champion.

Jane Musselman held onto her overnight lead in the ARMA USEA Training Amateur Championship after issuing a double-clear cross-country round aboard her 14-year-old Selle Francais gelding Corleone Tops (Tinka's Boy x Unatame De Hus). They go into the final phase on a score of 27.8.

Caden Carter and her 5-year-old Holsteiner gelding FE Santos (Silberschmied x Fedora) added just 1.6 time penalties cross--country to stay ahead of the pack in the ARMA USEA Training Junior Championship. They’ll bring a score of 29.2 forward to the show-jumping on Friday.

Meghan O’Donoghue and her 6-year-old Holsteiner gelding Chepfly (HB-I Chepetto x Startlyght) added nothing to their leading dressage score of 27.6 to retain their hold on the ARMA USEA Training Horse Championship.

A double-clear cross-country round has Catherine Ramsey and her own 8-year-old Oldenburg mare Cakewalk (Coeur d'Amour x Rubinatz WOR) still in the lead in the ARMA USEA Training Rider Championship. The scores are tight, so she will have to to fast and clear in show jumping tomorrow to claim the title of AEC Champion.
