The first five-star horse inspection was relatively drama-free as all 26 horse and rider pairs were ultimately accepted. Marnie Kelly's 16-year-old Thoroughbred gelding Campground (Forest Camp x Kneel), presented by rider Erin Kanara, was initially sent to the hold box, but accepted upon representation.
Liz Halliday and Tamie Smith served as the honorary judges of the contest for Best Dressed this year. After a thorough inspection, the two riders chose Oliver Townend (GBR) and Monica Spencer (NZL) as this year's recipients.
Five-star dressage is spread across two days with Ireland's Austin O'Connor and The Salty Syndicate's 14-year-old British Sport Horse gelding Colorado Blue (Jaguar Mail x Rock Me Baby) as the pathfinders at 2:00 p.m. EST tomorrow.
