The 2017 USEA Annual Meeting and Convention may have come and gone, but thanks to our friends at Ride On Video you will have the chance to relive the action as we share videos of the different sessions!
Coach Daniel Stewart begins his presentation from the 2017 USEA Annual Meeting and Convention with a discussion of the importance of rider fitness. As equestrians, we focus on the nutrition and fitness of our horses, so why don’t we put the same effort into our own fitness and nutrition? Coach Stewart explains that because equestrians lead such active lives, we don’t necessarily need to spend 40 minutes in the gym six days a week. By focusing on exercises that support the muscles we use when riding and making them harder than they have to be, short high-intensity workouts can be an effective way of increasing rider fitness. Following his presentation, Coach Stewart demonstrates a series of exercises and then invites attendees to his session to perform the same exercises.
