Look for Competition Entrance with sign. Competition driveway is 250 meters east of Sporting Days Farm private driveway. From South-exit I-20 at exit 18 & take 19 south (right) to second light left on Hwy 118 (Rutland Dr) cross Hwy 302 and go left on Hwy 78. From North-exit I-20 at exit 22 & take Rte 1 South about 5mi go left on Hwy 118 (Rutland Dr) cross Hwy 302 and go left on Hwy 78. Note: From Town center About 1 mile from town center Hwy 78 exits to the right (was a fork in the road) From the West SDF is on the left 2.5mi from Montmorenci Fire Co. From the East SDF is on the right 1.3 mi past Oakwood Elementary School.

Entries

Sporting Days Farm HT uses www.EVENTENTRIES.com for entries, scoring & live Scoring. Entry fees include a $35 non-refundable office fee. Include legible and current email address on entry. All correspondence from secretary will be via email. Double entries: Not accepted. All riders and horses except Starter must be members of the USEA in order to compete. Combined Test riders are exempt from USEA membership and the Starter/D&M fee. If entering electronically; payment, signature page and Coggins must be postmarked within five (5) days of entering or entry will be considered incomplete and the entry will be assigned a postmark date at the time it is completed,and payment is received. If oversubscribed multiple rides may be limited - please indicate order of preference. Complete entries are those that are paid in full, and all paperwork received. Riders and Owners at Preliminary must send current copies of all USEF membership cards, or they can pay an electronic show pass fee to USEF (only allowed one time per year). ANY entry postmarked after Closing Date (CD) will be considered a late entry and the $60 Late fee applies. Additionally, any electronic or faxed entry made prior to Closing Date must be COMPLETE by closing or will be also considered a late entry and charged the $60 Late fee. Late fee policy will be strictly adhered to! Scratches/Changes must be in writing via email only. CHANGES made up to CD - no change fee. CHANGES made after CD will be charged a $50 fee/per change. Except dropping down a level (no change fee charged). NO CHANGES after April 15th. Change of horse or rider requires anew entry to be e-mailed. If space allows and post entries are accepted they will be charged an additional $60 late fee. Neg. Coggins required for all horses within 12 months and must accompany entry. Check website or EventEntries.com and contact secretary immediately if in wrong division, etc. Do not wait until times are posted, check status after you enter! Wait List Policy: Completed Entries are added to the competition in the order they are received. After the entry limit is reached, additional entries are placed on the Wait List in the order they are received. Only entries received by Closing Date and paid in full are placed on the Wait List. All entries received after the closing dates are ineligible for the Wait List. Once scheduling of the competition is complete substitutions will be made from the wait list BY DIVISION only. The Wait List expires on Tuesday, April 14th. All checks are destroyed or refunded after the termination of the wait list. After the CD and before the termination of the wait list, in order to receive a refund your spot must be filled from the wait list. Scratches after the close of the wait list date are not eligible for a refund. With the expiration of the wait list, no scratched spots are filled. Refunds: Prior to closing date: full refund less the $35 office fee After close date entry/stabling-Less $25 ONLY if in writing andthe same place can be filled from wait list. Competition cancellation - No refund.

Reminder: All USEF Life and Senior Active members, as well as participants who have regular contact with minor athletes, are required to comply with the U.S. Center for SafeSport training requirement, to be eligible to participate in the competition. All participants must adhere to the U.S. Center for SafeSport Code, USEF Safe Sport Policy, and the Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policies. Eight ribbons per division. $10 fee for mailing prizes. TIP Awardsare given at this event, please provide TIP numbers to the secretary.

Stabling/Veterinarian

28 permanent 12X12 stalls on site, have stalldoors.$135 on grounds (limited permanent stalls- book early); Thursday 11AM to Sunday 8 AM; $25/day after that. Stall doors will be provided. P-2500 m @ 520 mpm.PT/T-2500 m @ 450 mpm. N-2000 m @ 380 mpm. BN-1800 m @ 340 mpm. Starter-1200 m @ 300 mpm. All courses: P-Average, with options. T/N/BN Average, for horses with some experience at this level. Banks, ditches & water at all levels.
Cross-country course closed all winter, only open for schooling the day after the event.

USEF Membership Statement: Life, senior active and junior active members shall be eligible to participate in all classes at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions at the Modified Level or above and Combined Driving Competitions at the Advanced Level, Dressage, Reining and Vaulting Competitions and Endurance Rides. A non-member may participate as a handler, rider, driver, owner, lessee, or agent at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions, Dressage Competitions, Reining Competitions and Combined Driving Competitions upon payment of a Show Pass fee. Participants in the following classes are exempted from the Requirements of this rule: 1) leadline; 2) exhibitions; 3) games and races; 4) classes for 4-H members; 5) walk trot and academy classes (academy classes are classes limited to horses used regularly in a lesson program); 6) USDF introductory level tests, pas de deux and quadrille classes; 7) assistant handlers in Dressage Sport Horse Breeding classes.

Minors who do not have a valid driver’s license which allows them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind, including, but not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles, on the competition grounds of licensed competitions. Minors who have a valid temporary license may operate the above described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid driver’s license. The parent/legal guardian or individual who signs the entry blank as a parent or guardian of a minor operating a motorized vehicle in violation of this rule are solely responsible for any damages, claims, losses or actions resulting from that operation. Violations of this rule will be cause for penalties against those responsible for the child committing the offense. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule. The unsafe use of personal electronic transport devices, as determined by the competition officials and management in their sole discretion, that do not require a driver’s license to operate, including but not limited to segways, hover boards, and single wheeled scooters is prohibited on competition grounds. Operating such devices in areas where people gather may be deemed “unsafe use” if there is a risk of harm to others. If the operator of the device is a minor, the parent/legal guardian or individual who signs the entry blank as a parent or guardian of a minor operating the device in violation of this rule is accountable and may be subject to penalties. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule.

SUBCHAPTER EV-9 DRESS 1. PROTECTIVE HEADGEAR. a. At Federation licensed and endorsed Events, Athletes must wear headgear as follows, except as may otherwise be mandated by local law (see also GR801) b. Upon arrival, anyone riding a Horse must wear properly fitting protective headgear. The harness must be secured and properly fitted. See GR801.

SHARPS CONTAINER: Competition management is responsible for placing Sharps containers in convenient locations on Competition grounds and replacing them when full. Sporting Days Farm sharps containers are located in the competition stabling barn. Competition Management may fine any individual up to $100 for improper disposal of needles or other sharp disposable instruments. Competition management will place notice of this requirement either in its prize list or on a specific handout given to trainers on check in at the competition. See GR1210.4 for complete details and please make sure the requirements for Sharps Containers are met at this competition. “Every class offered herein which is covered by the rules and specifications of the current USEF rulebook will be conducted and judged in accordance therewith.”
