Tentative Schedule

Saturday:Show office opens at 2:00 PM. The cross-country course opens at 3:00 PM. Sunday:ALL Divisions (MT, T, N, BN, Starter & schooling/unrecognized divisions). Dressage-7:30 am, Show Jumping- 10:00 AM, Cross Country- immediately after show jumping. We are again planning to run in a compressed format to maintain less wait time between dressage and jumping phases.Competitors will jump their show jumping first and may wear cross-country attire. There will be about 20-25 minutes in between riders' show jumping rounds and cross-country start times. Any significant departures to this schedule will be published online. Tentative times will be published online 9/16/2025. Please check the official times posted on Friday before the event.

Fees

If you must enter through pen/paper, draw checks to UNH and include a separate check for each horse. Entry: MT/T: $225.00; N/BN/Starter: $200.00 Stabling: $100.00, includes initial bedding. Limited stalls available - additional vaccinations required, per UNH veterinarian. Post Entry Fee:$50.00 for any entry accepted after the closing date. Change Fee:$25.00 for each change made to entry after the closing date. Incomplete Fee:$20.00 assessed to each incomplete entry, which has not been resolved by the closing date. This includes missing/invalid horse health documents, signatures, etc.) Refunds: Before C.D.: Less $35 non-refundable office fee; After C.D.: No refunds unless accompanied by a vet or medical note AND spot can be filled off of wait list. All withdrawals must be in writing; best is to email [email protected]. Withdrawals or changes will not be accepted by phone. Competition cancellation (Act of God, weather)-Only USEF/USEA fees refunded. Competition Cancellation due to a change in UNH's COVID policies regarding external events: Partial refunds granted on a pro-rated basis after fixed/non-refundable expenses are paid. USEA Starter/D&M Fee Refund Policy: The USEA Starter/D&M fee ($35) is not subject to office fees and shall be returned within 30 days of the competition to any rider who does not start the dressage test.

Entries

Entry fees per division include a $35 non-refundable office fee. USEA and USEF fees are not included as part of the entry fee. USEA current membership (Junior, Collegiate, Full or Life) and horse registration (Limited or Full) are required at all levels except the Starter divisions. **UPDATED HORSE HEALTH REQUIREMENTS FOR THE UNH EQUINE FACILITY:** Coggins test dated within 12 months of the competition date Rabies Vaccination dated within 12 months of the competition date Rhino (EHV1 & EHV4) and Flu booster dated within 6 months of the competition date UNH will restrict entries from USDA confirmed Vesicular Stomatitis (VS) affected states. No horses from VS affected states are allowed to enter. Horse health documents must be received BEFORE competition - May be emailed, but must be legible. Entries with invalid health paperwork, upon closing date, will be assessed an incomplete fee. UNH will accept online entries submitted through Xentry or EventEntries (may pay here by credit card). Preference will be given to complete entries received on opening date. Incomplete entries will be accepted as space allows, but all issues (including invalid health documentation) must be resolved by closing date. Entries not complete at close risk being replaced by a complete entry that is on wait list. Any entry that is not complete at close for any reason (including missing emergency contact info) will be assessed a $20 incomplete fee. Any changes to entry made after close, if able to be accommodated, will incur a $25 fee. Post-closing date entries may be accepted at organizer's discretion but will incur an additional cash fee of $50. Please do not expect to be able to enter this competition post-closing date. Management reserves the right to restrict the number of entries per rider per level. Please contact secretary directly if you are planning to enter more than two horsesat the same level. Management reserves the right to combine under-subscribed divisions with other levels. Competitors will have the opportunity to request a refund if they choose not to participate at that point. Double entries: Not accepted. Reminder: All USEF Life and Senior Active members, as well as participants who have regular contact with minor athletes including Parents and Trainers, are required to comply with the U.S. Center for SafeSport training requirement to be eligible to participate in the competition. All participants must adhere to the U.S. Center for SafeSport Code, USEF Safe Sport Policy, and the Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policies. Stabling/Veterinarian

Stabling: $100.00/stall with first bedding provided. Limited on-site stabling available - please request stabling PRIOR to registering online to ensure stall availability. Additional vaccinations are required for on-site stabling, and must be recieved by the show office 48 hours before arrival, per UNH veterinarians. Dressage

Test & arena sizes: MT-2022 USEF Modified Test B;T-2022 USEF Training Test B;N-2022 USEF Novice Test B;BN-2022 USEF Beginner Novice Test B; Starter - 2022 USEA Starter Test-Sm. Arenas: All dressage divisions will compete in a 20mx40m sand competition arena. Warm-up is in a 100'x200' arena with a sand and rubber mix footing.

Cross-Country

Training‑2100 m @ 420 mpm.Novice-2000 m @ 350 mpm.Beginner Novice-1800m @ 325 mpm.Starter -jumps not to exceed 2'3"; XC will not include water or ditch elements for the starter level. The starter courses will be easy, inviting and run in accordance with the rules governing this sport. Timing and scoring will be in effect. M/T/N/BN courses: Average difficulty, for horses with some experience at these levels. The fall tracks are intended to be a level-appropriate challenge, to suit horses who have been competing at their given level during the course of the season and are not intended as move-up courses. Expect drops/banks, water, and ditches as appropriate for each level. Courses go through wooded trails and agricultural fields. Maps with actual speeds and distances will be available Saturday by 3pm online and at the show office. Cross-country warm-up may be on grass, adjacent to the XC startbox for some divisions. Other divisionswill have XC warm-up in the 100x200' sand/rubber warm-up arena.

Other Information

We will be following all local, regional and national COVID guidelines, as well as those required by USEF and UNH campus administration, to ensure a safe and fun competition. COVID information and specific guidelines will be available online. UNH will restrict entries from USDA confirmed Vesicular Stomatitis (VS) affected states. No horses from VS affected states are allowed to enter. All programs and cross country maps will be available digitally at www.onthebitevents.com and emailed to competitors. Levels may be divided/combined as entries warrant; state preferences under the Eligible Section and birth date on entry. Please take care when selecting your preferred divisions. Whoa Nellie food truck will be available on-site Sunday! Official photographer on-site. Dogs are welcome but MUST be leashed. PARKING IS EXTREMELY LIMITED AT UNH. Competitors are encouraged to trailer-pool if they are shipping in. Follow all posted signs and parking staff directions regarding parking. Bring a bike. The popular paved lot is designated student parking, and despite repeated requests, UNH Parking will NOT ALLOW US TO CLOSE THE LOT or remove the student cars from it for the Trials. We have no control over this. Please respect the multiple uses at our facility and approach our parking with a sense of humor! SUBCHAPTER EV-9 DRESS 1. PROTECTIVE HEADGEAR. a. At Federation licensed and endorsed Events, Athletes must wear headgear as follows, except as may otherwise be mandated by local law (see also GR801) b. Upon arrival, anyone riding a Horse must wear properly fitting protective headgear. The harness must be secured and properly fitted. See GR801. SHARPS Container will be located in the show office and with the on-site veterinarian. EVERY CLASS OFFERED HEREIN WHICH IS COVERED BY THE RULES AND SPECIFICATIONS OF THE CURRENT USEF RULEBOOK WILL BE CONDUCTED AND JUDGED IN ACCORDANCE THEREWITH.
