Sunday:All divisions will do CrossCountry on Sunday, June 2nd at Moorland Farm in Far Hills NJ. 8 AM start

AfterMay 14ththere will be no refund unless there is a waiting list. ANY entries (if space allows) or changes made to entry after Closing Date, will be charged $50 processing fee. No changes to entry starting Monday before the event. Competition cancellation - No refund. X-C Pinny/Holder/Insert Required. Copy of current negative Coggins within 12 months must accompany entry. Reminder: All USEF Life and Senior Active members, as well as participants who have regular contact with minor athletes, are required to comply with the U.S. Center for SafeSport training requirement, to be eligible to participate in the competition. All participants must adhere to the U.S. Center for SafeSport Code, USEF Safe Sport Policy, and the Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policies. All courses: A true test for horses with experience at these levels. Cross-country courses closed: Always and are not open until 3:00 PM on May 31. All Cross-Country courses will be aerated, if needed. Competition staff will decide about aeration, weather pending.

Awards

Awards: Prizes and 6 ribbons per division. In addition we will be offering two trophies: -The Golden Nugget Memorial Trophy, donated by Clarissa Wilmerding, will be awarded to the lowest scoring member of a Pony Club who is aged 18 oryounger who completes in all three phases of the Essex Horse Trials in any division. -The Jean and Elliott Haller Perpetual Trophy for Horsemanship will be presented to the rider who demonstrates good horsemanship and a superior partnership between horse and rider. This trophy is donated by Ms. AnnDavid of Hoopstick Farm.

Stabling/Veterinarian

Veterinarian:Running S Equine Veterinary Service. 908-832-5484. The phone numbers of the veterinarian and farrier will be posted at the Secretary's office. Stabling: 47 permanent stalls are available at the USET Stables on a first come/first served basis Parking:Riders stabled at the USET will get 1 parking pass to park at USET Stables (no trailers).

Dogs must be leashed with human attached: $100 fine for loose dogs. No Motorized Vehicles. SUBCHAPTER EV-9 DRESS 1. PROTECTIVE HEADGEAR. a. At Federation licensed and endorsed Events, Athletes must wear headgear as follows, except as may otherwise be mandated by local law (see also GR801) b. Upon arrival, anyone riding a Horse must wear properly fitting protective headgear. The harness must be secured and properly fitted. See GR801. “Every class offered herein which is covered by the rules and specifications of the current USEF rulebook will be conducted and judged in accordance therewith”.
