Address: 288 Mast Road, Durham, NH 03824 To UNH from Portsmouth (Route 95): Route 4 west follow signs towards Concord & Durham, go approx. 10 miles on Rt. 4 to UNH exit (Rt. 155-A); left off ramp. First left onto Mast Road Extension. Follow signs to stabling & parking. If you are using a GPS, you are strongly encouraged to follow the directions here instead of getting off at Route 108, which will put you in the downtown Durham loop. From West: Take Rt. 4 east from Concord NH. & take UNH exit (Rt. 155-A); right off ramp. Same as above. Once you turn onto Mast Rd. Extension, please follow parking signs and staff for directions. Parking is extremely limited and we need to approach the multi-use facility with a sense of humor!

Tentative Schedule

ALLphases for each level will be held on one day. Fri: Packets available/Cross-country course open-3 PM. Saturday: Expect divisions to run in order from higher to lower, Modified, Mod/Training, Training, Novice, BegNovice, Starter. Competitors will be notified if there is any deviation from this order. Tentative time table: Dressage 8:00 AM, Show Jumping 10:30 AM, Cross Country 11:00 AM. We will be running a compressed schedule between show jumping and XC rounds. Competitors will jump their show jumping first and may wear cross-country attire. There will be about 20-25 minutes in between riders' show jumping rounds and cross-country start times.

Fees

Draw checks to UNH. Please write separate check for each horse. Entry Fees: Starter Combined Test:$85.00 Starter: $180.00 T/N/BN: $200.00 M/MT:$225.00. Stabling:Limited, off site, $75.00, includes initial bedding. Please request stabling PRIOR to submitting your entry. Post-Entry Fee:All entries accepted after the closing date will be assessed the $50 post-entry fee. Do not expect a post-entry to be accepted. Change Fee:$25.00 for any each change made to an entry after the closing date Incomplete Fee:$20.00 assessed to each incomplete entry, that has not been resolved by the closing date (invalid horse health documents, missing signatures, etc.) Refunds: Before C.D.‑ Less $25 non-refundable office fee; After C.D.‑ No refunds unless accompanied by a vet or medical note AND spot can be filled off of the wait list. All withdrawals must be in writing. Withdrawals or changes will not be accepted by phone, must mail or email. Competition cancellation-Only USEF/USEA fees refunded.

Entries

Entry fees per division include a $25 non-refundable office fee. USEA and USEF fees are not included as part of the entry fee. USEAcurrent membership(Junior, Collegiate, Full or Life) and horse registration (Limited or Full) are required at all levels except the Starter divisions. Modified level riders/trainers/owners must be a USEF active member with SafeSport completed by the competition date. **UPDATED HORSE HEALTH REQUIREMENTS FOR THE UNH EQUINE FACILITY:** Coggins test dated within 12 months of the competition date Rabies Vaccination dated within 12 months of the competition date Rhino (EHV1 & EHV4) and Flu booster dated within 6 months of the competition date Horse health documents must be received BEFORE competition - May be emailed, but must be legible. Entries with invalid health paperwork, upon closing date will be assessed an incomplete fee. UNH will accept online entries submitted through Xentry or EventEntries (may pay here by credit card). Preference will be given to complete entries received on opening date. Incomplete entries will be accepted as space allows, butall issues (including invalid health documentation) must be resolved by closing date.Entries not complete at close risk being replaced by a complete entry that is on wait list. Any entry that is not complete at close for any reason (including missing emergency contact info) will be assessed a $20 incomplete fee. Any changes to entry made after close, if able to be accommodated, will incur a $25 fee. Post-closing date entries may be accepted at organizer discretion but will incur an additional cash fee of $50. Please do not expect to be able to enter this competition post-closing date.
Management reserves the right to restrict the number of entries per rider per level. Please contact secretary directly if you are planning to enter more than two horses at the same level.Double entries:Not accepted. Management reserves the right to combine under-subscribed divisions with other levels. Competitors will have the opportunity to request a refund if they choose not to participate at that point. Minimum of 8 competitors to run the MODIFIED level.

Reminder: All USEF Life and Senior Active members, as well as participants who have regular contact with minor athletes including Parents and Trainers, are required to comply with the U.S. Center for SafeSport training requirement, to be eligible to participate in the competition. All participants must adhere to the U.S. Center for SafeSport Code, USEF Safe Sport Policy, and the Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policies. Modified-2500m @ 490 mpm. MT/Training‑2000 m @ 420 mpm. Novice-1800 m @ 350 mpm. Beginner Novice-1800m @ 325 mpm. Starter -jumps not to exceed 2'3"; XC will not include water or ditch elements for the starter level. The starter courses will be easy, inviting and run in accordance with the rules governing this sport. Timing and scoring will be in effect. M/T/N/BN courses: Easy to average, for horses with some experience at these levels. The spring tracks are intended to be a good first outing for spring for northerly based mounts. Expect drops/banks, water and ditches as appropriate for each level. Courses go through wooded trails and agricultural fields. Cross-country course not open prior to the event in spring in order to preserve footing. Maps with actual speeds and distances will be available Friday, prior to the event, by 3pm online and at the show office.

Awards

Trophy & 8 ribbons per division. Please note on your entry form, or in correspondence with secretary, if your entry is eligible for our special awards. We are pleased to offer special awards for the Thoroughbred Incentive Program (TIP number required), Best Scoring UNH Rider (alum or current student; any degree program!), Best Scoring Pony Club Rider (must be active PC member), Best Scoring Connemara (must provide ACPS registration papers). Special Awards: Lowest and Second Lowest Scoring Pony Clubber; Best Scoring UNH Student/Alumni (alum or current student); Best Scoring Connemara (sponsored by the ACPS). Please indicate which award you are eligible for (and the name of your Pony Club/year of graduation, whichever is relevant). Connemara's must include a copy of their rider or owner's ACPS membership and registration papers. Lowest dressage score of the day will be awarded a prize. The Jockey Club Thoroughbred Incentive Program (T.I.P) is offering ribbons, prizes and prize money to the top placing Thoroughbred at each level. Stabling/Veterinarian

UNH will not be offering on site stabling. Limited off site stabling available, first come first served. Stabling fee must be paid with entry or we will not make arrangements for you. $75.00/night; initial bedding provided. Please contact secretary regarding availability prior to entering event. In the event of challenging conditions in the spring, organizer may convert all Modified entries to Modified/Training (MT); competitors will be notified by phone in the event this change occurs and will have the option of a full refund or an entry at MT. Food available on grounds each day with the Whoa Nellie food truck. Photographer on grounds. Dogs welcome but MUST be leashed. PARKING IS EXTREMEMLY LIMITED AT UNH. Competitors are encouraged to trailer-pool if they are able. Follow all posted signs and parking staff directions regarding parking. Bring a bike.The popular paved lot is designated student parking, and despite repeated requests, UNH Parking willNOT ALLOW US TO CLOSE THE LOTor remove the student cars from it for the Trials. We have no control over this. Please respect the multiple uses at our facility and approach our parking with a sense of humor! SUBCHAPTER EV-9 DRESS 1. PROTECTIVE HEADGEAR. a. At Federation licensed and endorsed Events, Athletes must wear headgear as follows, except as may otherwise be mandated by local law (see also GR801) b. Upon arrival, anyone riding a Horse must wear properly fitting protective headgear. The harness must be secured and properly fitted. See GR801. SHARPS Container will be located in the show office and with the on-site veterinarian.
