Depending on entry numbers at the different levels, some Training may run Sat and some Sunday. We anticipate Training will be Saturday. If you have a Training entry, please let the secretary know if you can not ride one of these days.

Fees

Entry: P:$250.00; M:235.00;T:230.00;N:$225.00;BN:$220.00. Non-competing horses- Must register with secretary, have a negative coggins, and pay a $20 grounds fee. Post Entry/Late Fee:$50 late fee for entries and/ or payments after the closing date but before June 5. Entries after June 4 will be assessed a late fee of $100.Electronic entries must be paid by the closing date to avoid late fees. Change Fee:Change fee applies to division, horse and/ or rider.$25.00 for any change of entry before C.D. $50.00 for any change of entry after C.D.$ but before June 5; $100 fee for each change after June 4.Changes should be sent to the secretary by email. Changes NOT accepted by phone. Refunds: Before C.D.-Less $25 office fee; After C.D.- less $100 ONLY if place can be filled from wait list. Most likely NO REFUNDS for any level (entry) AFTER 9 pm June 7. USEA Starter/D&M Fee Refund Policy: The USEA Starter/D&M fee ($30) will be returned within 30 days of the competition to any who do not start the dressage test.Competition cancellation-No refund.

Entries

All entries include a $25 non-refundable office fee. Include printed, legible and current email address on entry. All correspondence from the secretary will be by email.All entrants competing must be USEA members. All horses competing must have USEA registration number. Preliminary competitors, include USEF membership numbers for rider, trainer and owner (including farm, syndicate, etc.). Riders, trainers, and/or owners of horses competing at the Preliminary level who arenotUSEF members will be required to pay $45 Show Pass fee with entry.(Note: a coach may or may not be a trainer; trainers are the ones who care and feed the horses) PLEASE no photos of missing items emailed to secretary - Scans are okay - must be legible! Double entries: Not accepted. The use of XENTRY or Evententries is strongly encouraged as you can submit your entries electronically. Check entry status online athttp://www.mocpony.club. Entries may be accepted after the closing date on a space-available basis. Incomplete entriesmay bewait listed until complete. If there is a wait list, it will be posted on the website along with entry status. Unpaid entries are incomplete and will not be assigned ride times. We will not hold spots for incomplete/ unpaidentriesif we have awaitlist. Emergency information box on entry must be filled out or entry is not complete. Please include TIP registration number for horses that want to be considered for TIP awards(http://tjctip.com). These must be received by June 9th at 1PM. For all entries, thedate of paymentis considered the entry date, NOT the date it was submitted via Xentry Evententries or emailed. Reminder: All USEF Life and Senior Active members, as well as participants who have regular contact with minor athletes, are required to comply with the U.S. Center for SafeSport training requirement, to be eligible to participate in the competition. All participants must adhere to the U.S. Center for SafeSport Code, USEF Safe Sport Policy, and the Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policies. Awards

Sixribbons per division with neck ribbons for first place. Also product awards by Sponsors. $3 fee for mailing ribbon paid to secretary prior to competition conclusion. Will be offering Ribbons for TIP registered horses (http://tjctip.com).

Stabling/Veterinarian

Stabling:No stabling available on-grounds. We will provide a list of contacts for local stabling available to competitors upon request. Veterinarian:Dr.Chad Davis (540) 955-9115 . Numbers will be posted at Secretary's stand. All trailers please go in Gate 2 and follow signs back to trailer parking. You should bring water - there will be limited access to water in the the trailer parking area.

Test and arena sizes: All P-2022 USEF Preliminary Level Test A-Small Arena. All M- 2022 USEF Modified Test A - Small Arena.All T-2022 USEF Training Level Test A-Small Arena.All N-2022 USEF Novice Level Test A-Small Arena.All BN-2022 USEF Beginner Novice Level Test A-Small Arena.
Arenas: all on improved grass behind Polo ring.

Cross-Country

All P-3000 m @ 520 mpm.All M-2800 m @ 490 mpm.;All T-2500 m @ 470 mpm.All N-2200 m @ 400 mpm.All BN-2000 m @ 350 mpm. Terrain: Open, rolling hills - old established turf, excellent footing. Course runs on same land as the MARS Great Meadow International. On all courses, some obstacles tend toward maximum heights for the level. Forward galloping courses. Well suited for horses with experience at the level. P - includes water complex & coffin. M -includes water complex & ditch.T -includes water complex & ditch. N - includes water complexand ditch. BN includes a water complex. Cross-country course closed for schooling before HT. Schooling is currently planned for Tuesday after the HT

Other Information

Levels may be divided/combined if entries warrant; state preferences under the Eligible Section and birth date on entry, otherwise Senior is assumed. If event is oversubscribed, preference given to higher levels. Division days may change days depending on entries. Any changes will be posted to website. Cross-country course closed for schooling before HT. We are planning a schooling day the Tuesday after the HT. The schooling will include XC as well as SJ in the all weather ring. We need volunteers; please go to USEA's Volunteer Incentive Program:https://www.eventingvolunteers.com/events/2662. Volunteers will get a schooling pass. Daily drawing of prizes for volunteers that work each day. Those people who volunteer for this horse trial, Great Meadow International, and Old Tavern will get special gifts. Erin Gilmore will be the official photographer. You should bring water - there will be limited access to water in the the trailer parking area.The closest dependable water may be far away. Food Truck on grounds for breakfast & lunch. Vendors on grounds during event. No loose dogs anywhere on the grounds including on XC course. Dogs must be leashed and attached to a person or vehicle per USEF Rule GR1301.6. Refund checks not mailed until after event and check has cleared. All volunteers please go in Gate 7 and follow signs. NO CARS OR TRUCKS will be allowed up by competition area during competition - it is .2 mile walk from trailers. In addition to USEA/USEF waivers, the USPC requires Middleburg HT to have an additional signed waiver and Great Meadow requires a seaparate waiver and both can be accessed at the MOC horse trial website http://www.mocpony.club We will be guided by USEA/USEF and the State of Virginia Covid-19 protocols at the time of the event. We will notify all entries if we need to make any changes for health concerns. The Sharps container will be placed at the Secretary stand which is near the trailer parking. Competition Management may fine any individual up to $100 for improper disposal of needles or other sharp disposable instruments. EV114 Dress 1. PROTECTIVE HEADGEAR. a. At all levels of eventing competition, from beginner novice through advanced, at Federation Endorsed competitions and recognized competitions, riders must wear headgear as follows, except as may otherwise be mandated by local law (see also GR801): b. Upon arrival, anyone riding a horse must wear properly fitting protective headgear which passes or surpasses ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials)/SEI (Safety Equipment Institute) standards for equestrian use and carries the SEI tag. Harness must be secured and properly fitted. “Every class offered herein which is covered by the rules and specifications of the current USEF rulebook will be conducted and judged in accordance therewith”.
