Tentative Schedule

ALL PHASES FOR ALL LEVELS will run on ONE DAY ONLY Fri: Cross-country course open-3 pm. Sat:Dressage-7:30 am, Show Jumping- 10:00 AM, Cross Country- immediately after show jumping. Starter is a combined test and therefore will NOT run XC. We are planning for a different schedule this Fall to maintain less wait-time between dressage and jumping phases.Competitors will jump their show jumping first and may wear cross-country attire. There will be about 20-25 minutes in between riders' show jumping rounds and cross-country start times. Any significant departures to this schedule will be published online. Tentative times will be published 9/20/2022.

Addition stabling may be available off site,but competitors will make their own arrangements locally. Contact secretary for suggestions-- payment and other logistical details will be made directly between competitor and stabling site. Refunds: Before C.D.-Less $25 non-refundable office fee; After C.D.-No refunds unless accompanied by a vet or medical note AND spot can be filled off of wait list. All withdrawals must be in writing; best is to email [email protected]. Withdrawals or changes will not be accepted by phone. Competition cancellation (Act of God, weather)-Only USEF/USEA fees refunded. Competition Cancellation due to a change in UNH's COVID policies regarding external events: Partial refunds granted on a pro-rated basis after fixed/non-refundable expenses are paid. USEA Starter/D&M Fee Refund Policy: The USEA Starter/D&M fee ($25), is not subjected to office fees, and shall be returned within 30 days of the competition to any rider who does not start the dressage test.

Entries

Entry fees per division include a $25 non-refundable office fee. USEA and USEF fees are not included as part of the entry fee.USEAcurrent membership(Junior, Collegiate, Full or Life) and horse registration (Limited or Full) are required at all levels except Starter. Negative Coggins WITHIN 12 MONTHS OF COMPETITION DATE is required for all horses.Coggins MUST be received BEFORE competition - May be faxed, but must be legible. Entries with invalid Coggins upon closing date will be assessed an incomplete fee. Coggins bled prior to 9/24/21are invalid. UNH will accept online entries submitted through Xentry (may pay here by credit card). Online throughEvententries.com acceptable IF paid with credit card and paperwork isimmediatelyemailed or mailed to the secretary. Completed entries include payment, electronically signed release form, USEF waiver and negative Coggins. To avoid incomplete or late fees, entries must be completed by the closing date. UNH is still operating under COVID-related restrictions. All guests must fully comply with any and all local, state or CDC guidelines and restrictions related to travel and COVID-19 that are in place at the time of the competition. Any changes to entry made after close, if able to be accommodated, will incur a $25 fee. Post-closing date entries may be accepted at organizer discretion but will incur an additional fee of $75. All courses: Average, for horses with some experience at these levels. Course design will suit horses who have been competing at their given level during the course of the season and are not intended as move up courses. All courses travel through wooded trails and some fields over mostly level terrain. Ditches, water, drops/banks can be expected at all levels. Cross-country course will not accept schooling appointments 14 days prior to the competition. **NEW** Cross-country warm-up will be on grass, adjacent to the XC startbox.

Special Awards:Lowest and Second Lowest Scoring Pony Clubber;Lowest Scoring UNH Student/Alumni;Best Scoring Connemara(sponsored by the American Connemara Pony Society).Please indicate which award you are eligible for (and the name of your Pony Club/year of graduation, whichever is relevant). Connemaras must include a copy of their rider or owner's ACPS membership and registration papers. The University of New Hampshire Horse Trials is proud to be a part of the Jockey Club's Thoroughbred Incentive Program (T.I.P).The Jockey Club Thoroughbred Incentive Program (T.I.P)is offering ribbons, prizes and prize money to the top placing Thoroughbred at each level. Dressage

Test & arena sizes: M-2022 USEF Modified Test B;T-2022 USEF Training Test B;N-2022 USEF Novice Test B;BN-2022 USEF Beginner Novice Test B; Starter - 2022 USEA Starter Test. Arenas: All dressage divisions will compete in a 20mx40m sand competition arena. Warm-up is in a 100'x200' arena with a sand and rubber mix footing.

We will be following all local, regional and national COVID guidelines, as well as those required by USEF and UNH campus administration, to ensure a safe and fun competition. COVID information and specific guidelines will be available online. All programs and cross country maps will be available digitally at www.onthebitevents.com and emailed to competitors. Levels may be divided/combined as entries warrant; state preferences under the Eligible Section and birth date on entry. Please take care when selecting your preferred divisions. A food truck will be available on-site Saturday & Sunday! Dogs welcome but MUST be leashed. PARKING IS EXTREMEMLY LIMITED AT UNH. Competitors are encouraged to trailer-pool if they are shipping in. Follow all posted signs and parking staff directions regarding parking. Bring a bike. The popular paved lot is designated student parking, and despite repeated requests UNH Parking will NOT ALLOW US TO CLOSE THE LOT or remove the student cars from it for the Trials. We have no control over this. Please respect the multiple uses at our facility and approach our parking with a sense of humor!

EV114 Dress 1. PROTECTIVE HEADGEAR. a. At all levels of eventing competition, from beginner novice through advanced, at Federation Endorsed competitions and recognized competitions, riders must wear headgear as follows, except as may otherwise be mandated by local law (see also GR801): b. Upon arrival, anyone riding a horse must wear properly fitting protective headgear which passes or surpasses ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials)/SEI (Safety Equipment Institute) standards for equestrian use and carries the SEI tag. Harness must be secured and properly fitted.
