GMI has been selected to be the final<strong> preparatory run for the USA team that is going to the World Equestrian Games in Italy.</strong> In addition to the hospitality features from last year, we are providing a competitors' ringside lounge sponsored by Hilltop Bio. Entries

There is no fee to submit an entry through this system. AthletesMUSTalso enter the event (and pay the entry fees) through the normal entry process. All non-US rider/horse combinations must first enter through their NF. All NFs must use the FEI Entry System for entries for this event (https://entry.fei.org). All FEI athletes: In addition to the FEI entry system, all FEI athletes must also enter using the USEA's 2021 CCI-S and CCI-L Entry Form.

BE SURE TO USE THE UPDATEDFederation Entry Agreement and USEA/USEF Waiver and Release of Liability, Assumption of Risk and Indemnity Agreement. These are TWO (2) separate pages. Both are required for entry. Please also complete the Great Meadow International Waiver which is on our website.

ENTRIES MUST BE COMPLETE BEFORE ARRIVAL:On-time entries still incomplete one week before the event will be charged $20 per missing item. This includes, signature pages, coggins, muck deposits, horse. rider, owner or trainer numbers, etc.Missing Items fees will be enforced. INCOMPLETE ENTRIES WILL NOT BE SCHEDULED.

CHANGES: Changes must be in writing via email to the Secretary. After C.D. - change of horse or rider (not both) and/or division, space permitting and subject to a $100 change fee.

Rider Status: The status of all entries will be available on the event's website. http://www.greatmeadowinternational.com.

WAITLIST. Up to 220 entries can be accommodated, but exact numbers will depend on the entry split for the different levels and health regulations in effect at the time. Paid and complete entries will receive priority and unpaid and incomplete entries will be placed on the waitlist in the order in which they were received.

All FEI U.S. horses and riders must be registered with the USEF, USEA, and FEI. All national U.S. horses and riders must be registered with the USEA. Rider/Owner/Trainer must be members of the USEF or pay the $45 USEA Show Pass fee. Please include USEF Membership number for rider, trainer, and owner on entries.

Note: VA requires 30-day health certificate for horses entering state.
All FEI horses must have an FEI Passport indicating required influenza primary series & boosters. There will be a fee of $50 for returning passports not retrieved at the end of competition.

Reminder: All USEF Life and Senior Active members, as well as participants who have regular contact with minor athletes, are required to comply with the U.S. Center for SafeSport training requirement, to be eligible to participate in the competition. All participants must adhere to the U.S. Center for SafeSport Code, USEF Safe Sport Policy, and the Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policies. Competitor Information

The venue provides terrific viewing of the courses. The terrain is gently undulating and is on the racecourse and permanent grassland. It is designed to be a showcase event with a wide variety of questions. Cross-country course closed and not available for schooling. Cross Country course is now completelyirrigated with additional improvementsmade to the Fleming Farm tracks. CCI4-S:3420-3500m @ 570 mpm;CCI3-S:3400m @ 550 mpm;CCI2-S & Preliminary:2900m @ 520 mpm Variety of obstacles: ditches, banks, drops & water. Excellent, irrigated footing throughout, rolling terrain, no rocks.

Awards

Awards: Ribbons Individual 1st-8th. Prize money: $7500 for FEI divisions but could be higher subject to financial ability; Distribution as per FEI Regulations, Articles 128, 129 & 130;Special awards for under 25 competitors at all FEI levels but the prize recipients must be present at the prize giving ceremony to receive their awards.

Stabling/Veterinarian

Temp. stalls with doors;$325 stall plus a separate $50 muck fee deposit, Tuesday 10AMthrough Sunday PM. It is possible to stable Monday night but there would be an additional fee and the entry would need to contact the secretary.Tack stalls, depending on availability: $325;Be prepared to pay electronically for additional purchases of shavings or ice via Zelle, Venmo, PayPal or other electronic methods. One bags ofshavings are included in stabling fee. Additional bedding available for purchase ($10 bag). Stall doors provided.Damage fee:Please do not poke holes in the stall panels to hang stall guards. Panels are $325 each, and if damaged, the competitor will be responsible for this amount. Consistent with the new FEI biosecurity rules at Events, all FEI entries must use the FEI HorseApp, but FEI horses do not need to be stabled at Great Meadow. For all FEI horse, whether stabling or not, please remember to sign yourself up on the HorseApp, and for three days prior to your arrival, record twice daily (am and pm) temperatures. In addition, you must have your Horse Health Self-Certification Form completed in the HorseApp PRIOR to your arrival. Not doing so will only slow down the arrival exam process for you AND your fellow competitors. BRING YOUR OWN THERMOMETER for you or your groom to take your horses(s) temperature at the Arrival Exam, to be entered into the HorseApp, and for your twice-daily temps during the competition. All FEI horses coming and going each day must be recorded on HorseApp when they arrive and depart to/from Great Meadow and location of origin. Please note: Access tostablearea will be limited to authorized individuals and subject to health regulations in effect at the time. EV114 Dress 1. PROTECTIVE HEADGEAR. a. At all levels of eventing competition, from beginner novice through advanced, at Federation Endorsed competitions and recognized competitions, riders must wear headgear as follows, except as may otherwise be mandated by local law (see also GR801): b. Upon arrival, anyone riding a horse must wear properly fitting protective headgear which passes or surpasses ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials)/SEI (Safety Equipment Institute) standards for equestrian use and carries the SEI tag. Harness must be secured and properly fitted. Life, senior active and junior active members shall be eligible to participate in all classes at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions at the Modified Level or above and Combined Driving Competitions at the Advanced Level, Dressage, Reining and Vaulting Competitions and Endurance Rides. A non-member may participate as a handler, rider, driver, owner, lessee, agent, coach or trainer at Regular Competitions, Eventing Competitions, Dressage Competitions, Reining Competitions and Combined Driving Competitions upon payment of a Show Pass fee. Participants in the following classes are exempted from the Requirements of this rule: 1) leadline; 2) exhibitions; 3) games and races; 4) classes for 4-H members; 5) walk trot (exception: Friesian performance FR231) and academy classes (academy classes are classes limited to horses used regularly in a lesson program); 6) USDF introductory level tests, pas de deux and quadrille classes; 7) NRHA Endorsed Reining Competitions. 8) Opportunity classes, 9) citizens of other nations who have proof, in English, of current membership in good standing of their own National Federation, 10) USEA beginner novice division; and 11) assistant handlers in Dressage Sport Horse Breeding classes. SHARPS CONTAINER: Competition management is responsible for placing Sharps containers in convenient locations on Competition grounds and replacing them when full. Competition Management may fine any individual up to $100 for improper disposal of needles or other sharp disposable instruments. Competition management will place notice of this requirement either in its prize list or on a specific handout given to trainers on check in at the competition. See GR1210.4 for complete details and please make sure the requirements for Sharps Containers are met at this competition. “Every class offered herein which is covered by the rules and specifications of the current USEF and FEI rulebooks will be conducted and judged in accordance therewith”.
