Refunds: Before Closing Date: Entry will be refunded less $25 non-refundable office fee. After Closing Date: No Entry refund unless position can be filled from waitlist. Competition cancellation-No refund. USEA Starter/D&M Fees Refund Policy: The USEA Starter/D&M fees ($25) are not subjected to office fees, and shall be returned within 30 days of the competition to any rider who does not start the dressage test.

***Please use electronic entry and payment services! ***Contact secretary if alternative method is required at [email protected]. *** A COMPLETED ENTRY IS ALL PAPERWORK, COGGINS, SIGNATURES, PAYMENT, WAIVERS, AND OTHER INFORMATION RECEIVED BY THE SECRETARY. *** Complete entry checklist: Entry form with names matching membership and registrations that match USEA and, when required, the USEF membership and registration numbers. All funds paid Federation Entry Agreement signed by all parties Liability waiver signed by all parties Unique waiver for MCTA @ Shawan Downs signed by Rider/Guardian Coggins test that will still be valid through the Event date Combined Tests do not require USEA membership/horse registration, but non-members at any CT level must pay an additional $25 USEA non-member fee with entry. Incomplete entries will not be scheduled. IF ENTRY IS INCOMPLETE AT CLOSING DATE: Any electronic entry made PRIOR to Closing Date must be completed within 5 days of Closing Date or will be considered late and a $75 fee late fee will be applies. Missing items collected greater than 5 days after Closing Date are also subject to an additional office fee of $20/item. ENTRIES will be scheduled when ALL PAPERWORK and FEES are received.

Changes: All changes to entry must be made in writing (email or snail mail). ABSOLUTELY NO telephone withdrawals or changes will be accepted. $25 fee for any changes after Closing Date. Levels may be divided if entries warrant; state preferences under Eligible Section and provide birth date on entry.

* MCTA members: List you are a member on entry in order to be qualified for MCTA trophies.

* Collegiate Teams:Designate College Team on entry. There is no additional fee for Collegiate teams. Prize Money will be awarded (instead of ribbons) based on the number of schools participating.

* Interscholastic Teams: Designate IEL Team Name on entry. There is no additional fee for teams. Ribbons will be mailed to the team designee following the show.

* Thoroughbred IncentiveProgram: Include TIP Number with entry to be consider for TIP awards at each level. Reminder: All USEF Life and Senior Active members, as well as participants who have regular contact with minor athletes, are required to comply with the U.S. Center for SafeSport training requirement, to be eligible to participate in the competition. All participants must adhere to the U.S. Center for SafeSport Code, USEF Safe Sport Policy, and the Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policies. Awards

Overall Ribbons 1st - 10th Prize money through 3rd place in every division. For example: 20 starts would have $300 of prize money split as follows: 1st - $100, 2nd - $60, 5th - $40, 3rd - $40. Prize money will be mailed if not claimed by end of the event.No ribbons or prizes will be mailed unless prior arrangements have been made with the secretary. Trophies - Many trophies for MCTA members only. Please make sure your MCTA membership is current.

Stabling/Veterinarian

Stabling is not available. Veterinarian staff/ Farrier staff-#s posted at sec'y's office & stable area. Competition Management will provide sharps containers in stabling, office, and parking areas. Competition Management may fine any individual up to $100 for improper disposal of needles or other sharp disposable instruments. See GR1210.4

Dressage

Test & arena sizes for HT and CT: P -2022 USEF Preliminary Test A-Sm.M- 2022 USEF Modified Test A-Sm.T- 2022 USEF Training Test B-Sm.N-2022 USEF Novice Test B-Sm. BN-2022 USEF Beginner Novice Test B-Sm.All Arenas: grass with ample warm up room, quiet location.

Cross-Country

Courses are a true representation of their level. P‑2900 m @ 520 mpm. M --approx 2600 m @ 490 mpmT‑2200 m @ 450 mpm. N-2000 m @ 400 mpm.BN- 1800 m @ 350 mpm. Terrain: Beautiful established turf on rolling hills. Tracks have excellent flow with lots of galloping. Very inviting, confidence building courses. Cross‑country never open, except for designated schooling days.

Water hydrants and hoses on grounds near parking. NO motorized vehicles allowed on cross country course, except for officials. PLEASE, dogs must be leashed at all times, no exceptions! $50 fine for loose dogs, will be strictly enforced! On grounds DOG WARDEN!!! EV114 Dress 1. PROTECTIVE HEADGEAR. a. At all levels of eventing competition, from beginner novice through advanced, at Federation Endorsed competitions and recognized competitions, riders must wear headgear as follows, except as may otherwise be mandated by local law (see also GR801): b. Upon arrival, anyone riding a horse must wear properly fitting protective headgear which passes or surpasses ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials)/SEI (Safety Equipment Institute) standards for equestrian use and carries the SEI tag. Harness must be secured and properly fitted.
