AREA VII Championships (Intermediate, Preliminary, Training, Novice, and Beginner Novice) Placing to Qualify: 1st thru 5th at one Area VII Event.* Qualifying Period: August 13, 2019 through August 31, 2021.
*Additionally, each horse/rider combination that qualified with a top five placing in Area VII during 2019 or 2020 must also have completed an event at the same level in Area VII during the 2021 qualifying period in which they have met the Minimum Eligibility Requirements (MER). For a complete definition of the MER, reference the USEF Rules for Eventing, CHAPTER EV, EVENTING DIVISION, APPENDIX 3 - PARTICIPATION IN HORSE TRIALS.
A summary of the MER for Horse Trials is as follows: Dressage – no more than 50 penalty points; Cross-country – no jumping penalties and not more than 36 time penalties; Show jumping – no more than 16 jump penalties
All entries will be accepted
for Preliminary and Intermediate Championships, and Advanced, if received/postmarked by August 10th.
Entry slots for 50 Beginner Novice, 90 Novice, and 90 Training level
slots are available for the Area VII Championships. Currently there is no Area
VII Championships for the Advanced level, but once again, the Tin Men Supply Advanced division
at Aspen Farm will have $4,000 in prize money. Horse
and rider combinations will be placed into their appropriate divisions: Junior
(18 and under), Rider (riders have not competed an event above the next highest
level in the 5 years preceding the date of competition), and Open
(unrestricted). Non championship entries
for Beginner Novice, Novice, and Training Levels will only be accepted if space
is available.
Entry fees include a $25 non-refundable office fee. Double entries: Not accepted. Entries must be paid in US funds, no Canadian checks.Entries are not accepted without payment; the postmark on your payment will determine the order in which your entry is received. Priority will be given to Preliminary, Intermediate, and Advanced entries. DO NOT EMAIL ENTRIES. No non-competing horses.
Reminder: All USEF Life and Senior Active members, as well as participants who have regular contact with minor athletes, are required to comply with the U.S. Center for SafeSport training requirement, to be eligible to participate in the competition. All participants must adhere to the U.S. Center for SafeSport Code, USEF Safe Sport Policy, and the Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policies. More information about these can be found at www.usef.org.

Stabling/Veterinarian
Limited. $130/stall from 10 am Thursday to 6 pm Sunday. 290 temp. stalls on grounds. Early Stabling: $25/night. Stall doors & initial bedding only provided. Additional Shavings: $10/bag. Veterinarian: TBA, # will be posted at show office. Horses arriving Wednesday must have approval and arrive before 6pm. NO NON-COMPETE HORSES.

Cross-Country
Terrain: All grass with rolling terrain. Courses are designed with championships in mind, non championship divisions will have alternative routes on course. No ditch on the BN course. 2 water complexes. KY Three-Day like atmosphere with the white roping in the galloping lanes! A-3800 m @ 570mpm I-3400 m @550 mpmP-3000 m @ 520 mpm. T-2500 m @ 450 mpm. N-2000 m @400 mpm. BN-1800 m @ 350 mpm. BN max. fence height 2'7".

EV114 Dress 1. PROTECTIVE HEADGEAR. a. At all levels of eventing competition, from beginner novice through advanced, at Federation Endorsed competitions and recognized competitions, riders must wear headgear as follows, except as may otherwise be mandated by local law (see also GR801): b. Upon arrival, anyone riding a horse must wear properly fitting protective headgear which passes or surpasses ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials)/SEI (Safety Equipment Institute) standards for equestrian use and carries the SEI tag. Harness must be secured and properly fitted.
