Derby level intended for horses or riders with no previous experience.All courses: Average, for horses with some experience at these levels. Changes and up-grades on Cross-country feature NEW fences and galloping paths. Galloping on gently rolling terrain through desert scrub. Pads recommended. Cross-country course closed 3 weeks before event.

Stabling/Veterinarian

Limited. $130 Thursday 10 am to Monday 10 am. Stalls are 10x10 with stall doors. Additional stalls or tack rooms for this period-$25/day. Additional days before or after event-$25/day. 178 perm. stalls on grounds. 1st (one bag)bedding provided.Please include extra bedding requests ($11 per bag)with stallassignments to Sec'y with entry. Shavings not purchased from Secretary's Office Prohibited.Veterinarian: Karl Pew, DVM, (928) 337-2442will be posted at office. Farrier:Wade Strahm, phone number will be posted at Office.Non-competing horses=$45 per day which includes a stall, but no bedding.

Accommodations

Welcome Inn & Suites in St. Johns. Accommodations also available in Showlow (1 hour east) or Springerville (45 minutes south). Camping at St Johns Equestrian Center:33 full service RV hookups. $35/night for a trailer space with hook-up; and $10/dry camp (tent, horse trailer or vehicle), no hook-ups, but includesshower and toilets. Covid-19 Rules for equestrian sports include social distancing, masks, and self temperature checks are required at this event. As a condition of participation, all individuals including riders, trainers, parents, volunteers, etc., are required to sign a Waiver and Release of Liability, Assumption of Risk and Indemnity Agreement for the USEF/USEAhttps://useventing.com/resources/documents/USEF-USEA-Waiver-For-Non-Competitors.pdf All participants are also required to wear a face mask whenever you are within 6 feet of another person (including members of your own household) except when mounted on a horse. Please do your part and wear your face mask. Let's do all we can to make our sport safe and fun for everyone. Dogs must be leashed. Footing in show jumping and dressage arenas are watered and harrowed before and during the competition as conditions require. Added to the Cross-country course maintenance is a Land and Pride brand rock rake to groom gallop paths. Hand raking is also used to maintain good footing on the sandy galloping paths and on the take-off and landing areas of the jumps. Weather conditions are variable at St Johns. Please check weather and be prepared before you arrive. Cross-country schooling for one hour(times and conditions permitting) following the last horse to go on Sunday. $40 per horse , please give name and pre-pay secretary.
