Address: 1235 Park Mills Road, Adamstown, MD 21710 From Route 15 in Maryland or Virginia: At Point of Rocks, turn South onto MD-28 / CLAY ST. At stop sign turn right to continue on MD-28. Turn LEFT onto PARK MILLS RD. Event is 1.1 miles on left. From I-70 in MD: exit # 54 onto MD-85 South/ BUCKEYSTOWN PIKE. Turn left onto Lily Pons Road. Turn right onto Park Mills Road. Event is 1.9 miles on the right.

From 270 in MD: exit # 26 onto Route 80-Buckeystown. Turn Left onto Park Mills Road. Event is 5.2 miles on right.

If traveling from south Route 28 to Park Mills Road, be aware of bridge repairs/road work at the Monocacy River bridge. Weekend closure possible. Check the website for latest roadwork information.

(1) Enter electronically at www.evententries.com. Paid entries only. Muck deposits via credit card. Upload or immediately e-mail signature pages and coggins to [email protected]. OR (2) Enter on USEA’s Xentry. Submit all paperwork via Xentry or via email ([email protected]). Pay muck deposit on MDHT website (www.themarylandhorsetrials.com/pay). OR (3) Email entry form, LMF waiver, both USEF waivers and coggins in ONE email and pay fee and deposit at https://www.themarylandhorsetrials.com/pay. Incomplete entries will not be scheduled. Competitors are financially responsible for all entries. COMPLETE YOUR ENTRY BEFORE ARRIVAL! Incomplete entries will not be scheduled. This includes muck deposits.

Fees

CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS ONLY. (Entries that seek to qualify on September 25 may be paid by check upon qualification. US funds only; no foreign checks). Entry - received in hand by Closing Date: FEH-Y-Ch: $200 plus $10 USEA starter fee. FEH-2-Ch: $200 plus $10 USEA starter fee. FEH-3-Ch: $250 plus $10 USEA starter fee. FEH-4-Ch: $250 plus $10 USEA starter fee. POST Entry Fee - For entries received in hand AFTER Closing Date: Add $25 late fee. Grounds fee: No grounds fee for competing horses; for non-compete $50.00. Stabling: $75.00 per night. Muck Fee: $ 50.00 (pay online or mail separate check) stalls must be stripped + swept to receive refund. Shavings: $10 per bag (please pre-order!) Trailer Camping: $40.00/night w/electric Hook up; $25.00 no hook-up. Refunds: Before C.D.-Less $25 non-refundable office fee; After C.D.-No refund on entry. Competition cancellation-No refund. Refund Policy: The USEA Starter fees ($10), are not subject to office fees, and shall be returned within 30 days of the competition to anyone who does not start.

Entries

UNPAID ENTRIES: On-time entries still unpaid after closing date will be charged $25 late fee. Exception: If qualifying on Sept. 25 only, on-time Championship entry can remain unpaid pending qualification. If paid, unqualified Championship entries will receive a full refund. All post-entries owe a $25 late fee whether or not they qualify. USEA MEMBERSHIP: USEA current membership (Junior, Collegiate, Full, Life) required for FEH-4 rider. Membership not required for handler or owner. HORSE REGISTRATION: USEA FEH, Limited or Full Registration required for all FEH horses.

PAYMENT: ONLINE PAYMENT REQUIRED FOR PRE-QUALIFIED ENTRIES. All entry fees must be in US funds; checks must be US checks or money orders from US banks; no foreign checks. Office fee will be billed to no-show, no-pay entries!

CHANGES: Any change to entry subject to $20 fee and must be in writing (email). Absolutely no telephone withdrawals, changes or stabling requests will be accepted. NO TEXTS, PLEASE.

COGGINS: Neg. Coggins within 12 months required for all horses, including non-compete horse. Must be current through last day of competition.

EMAIL: Include printed, legible and current email address on entry. Preferred contact is via email.

QUALIFICATION: Horse must earn a score of 72% or more in a qualifier event to be eligible for Championships. Enter the September 25 FEH Qualifier for practice or to qualify.

Awards

Ribbons through 6th place for Yearling Colt, Yearling Filly, FEH-2 Colt, FEH-2 Filly, FEH-3 Colt, FEH-3 Filly, FEH-4 Colt, FEH-4 Filly. Ribbons through 4th place for Overall Yearling, FEH-2, FEH-3 and FEH-4. Trophies to Grand Champions of the Overall Yearling, FEH-2, FEH-3 and FEH-4. Trophies, Neck Sashes, and Prizes to Grand Champion and Reserve Champion. Born in America Trophy, and Neck Sash to the Highest Placing American Bred.

Stabling/Veterinarian

Stabling: 54 permanent stalls; 14 temporary stalls in the adjoining indoor enclosure if entries warrant. $75 per night includes one bag shavings. Include a SEPARATE $50 check muck deposit. Competitors wishing to stay for the week must make arrangements through 301-514-0111. Extra bedding available for purchase by pre-order, $10 per bag. Veterinarian/Farrier: on-call, contact information available at stabling and show office.

COVID-19 Procedures for Stabling: Masks required when within 10 feet of another person not in your immediate family group. Try to enter and exit the barn close to your stall rather than walking the whole aisle. Give each other plenty of space. Daily temperature check required. Stalls will be spread out as much as entries allow.

Stabling Requests: Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we may not be able to fulfill stabling location requests. Include request on stabling form or email us. Requests submitted after September 16 will not be accommodated.

Dogs: GR1301.6 will be STRICTLY ENFORCED. There will be a $100 fine for any dog not on a leash at any time during the weekend and the owner may be asked to leave the grounds. - Dogs are not permitted to be loose on competition grounds and must be on a leash or otherwise contained. Individuals must not lead dogs on a leash while mounted. Dog owners are solely responsible for any damages, claims, losses or actions resulting from their dogs’ behaviors. Dog owners failing to comply with this rule may be subject to penalty under Chapters 6 and 7, as well as issuance of warning cards. NO EXCEPTIONS. Other: Concessions may not be available due to COVID-19. Bring your own food and drinks. Water on grounds but it is advised to bring your own. Non-competing horses require Neg. 12 month Coggins through last day of event.
