Due to the difficulties arising from Covid- 19, the officers of Keeneland Pony Club have decided to cancel Jump Start Horse Trials for 2020.  We always strive to deliver the best possible experience and did not feel that under the current environment that was possible.  We hope all of you stay safe and healthy and hope to see you in 2021.

Entry: Per division I, P: $240.00; T, N, BN:$230.00; Starter Test: $215.00. Please note that if you enter online you must send signatures and coggins within 5 days to secretary. Stabling: $ 90.00 Thursday - Saturday night Tack Stall: $90.00 Thursday - Saturday night Layover: $50/night. Trailer Pass: $ 30.00 for non-stabling horses (KHP fee) KHP Equestrian Facility fee: $10 per horse. A per horse $10 facility fee is being charged by KHP and is to be collected with each entry. We have included this in your entry fee. All entry fees include $25 non-refundable office fee. Do not send entries that require signatures for pick up. Faxed entries not accepted.Double entries: Not accepted. USEA membership and horse registration required at all levels, except Starter. Starter entries are exempt from USEA starter fees and USEA Membership/Non-membership fees. Non-compete horse $40 plus stabling fee as above. We will be using paper numbers and vinyl bibs rather than cloth pinnies. Please provide legible email address for communication and/or questions.Refunds: Before C.D.-must be in writing to secretary [email protected] less $25 non-refundable office fee; After C.D.-No refund unless spot can be filled from the wait list less $30 office fee. P/T Average for horses with some experience at this level with coffin, corner, combinations, and bank possible. N may have open ditch, bank and water. Combinations possible for N/BN. BN and Starter courses will be good introductory, inviting fences with water option for Starter. Gently rolling, open terrain. Footing will be optimized as needed by irrigating and aerovating. Awards

Awards & 10 ribbons per division. Area 8 Championships - A8ECs: within each division, prizes will be awarded for the first 10 placings OVERALL, as well as the highest placing Adult Rider and Young Rider.

Stabling/Veterinarian

Stalls: $90 Thursday - Saturday night. Tack stall $90 Thursday - Saturday night. 800 perm. stalls 10' x 10' on grounds. Stall doors only provided. Feed/Hay/Bedding available for purchase from Devers Hay Grain & Bedding, (859) 233-9702. Veterinarian:Hagyard 859 255 8741 # will be posted at show office. Farrier on grounds, Friday - Sunday.

Other Information

Cross-country course closed. PROTECTIVE HEADGEAR: Per USEF Rule EV114 Dress. Upon arrival, anyone riding a horse must wear properly fitting protective headgear which passes or surpasses ASTM/SEI standards for equestrian use and carries the SEI tag. Harness must be secured and properly fitted. Levels may be divided/combined as entries warrant; state preferences under the Eligible Section and birth date on entry. Food on grounds. Dogs must be leashed. Schooling will be offered afterevent $35, weather and time permitting. Parking pass required for all vehicles. No ATVs or dirt bikes allowed on grounds. USEA medical card/armband required: Limited supply available for purchase. Trailer parking available--ask at office. PLEASE LOCK AND SECURE YOUR VEHICLES AND TACK ROOMS AT ALL TIMES. We will host an intercollegiate competition in partnership with UK again in 2020, as entries allow. Please indicate your team on your entry.
