Address: Rosaryville State Park, Upper Marlboro, MD 20772. Park entrance is on Marlton Road West off Rt. 301 South. It is not on Rosaryville Road! From South: I-95 to MD, Rt. 4 east to US Rt. 301 south 4 miles to Rosaryville State Park. Entrance is on the right just after Rt 301 crosses Osborne Road (Exxon station and 7-11 store on the right at Osborne and Rt 301). From North: I-97 to MD Rt 3 south becomes MD Rt 301 south. Same as above. Once you enter the park via W. Marlton Road (from Route 301 North), drive back a short distance, turn right at the fork and continue back to event parking (on your right and left as you enter the large clearing). There will be directional signs on the day of an event and there is also a small island with state park signs at the forked turn. If you miss the turn and go straight, do not panic. This exit will put you back on Route 301 North. It will then be necessary to do a U-Turn and come back to the first entrance. Please note the entrance and exit are One-Way only for your safety. P-2900 m @ 520 mpm, confidence building course for horses prepared for the level. Terrain questions test balance.T-2500 m @ 450 mpm, solid course for level; forward galloping track with use of terrain to balance and educate.N-2200 m @ 400 mpm; inviting track for horses with some experience at the level. BN- 1900 m @ 350 mpm; inviting track for horses with some experience at the level. Starter: 1500 m @ 275 mpm, max ht 2'-2'3; fun and easy introduction to eventing.
All courses: Varied terrain with woods and open fields; gently rolling hills with excellent galloping tracks. Expect water, banks and ditches at all levels (options for Starter). Easy access for spectators to dressage and show jumping areas. Established turf for galloping tracks and warm up areas.Cross-Country course always closed except for schooling dates on Sunday September 20th and Saturday September 26th 2020. Cross-country schooling day, September 20th 9am until 4pm and Saturday 26th 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. Cross-country course closed except for schooling days. All courses same as competition courses. $50 fee per horse and rider combination. Safety vest, proper footwear and helmet must be worn. No vest, no helmet-no school.
