Welcome to Powder Basin Horse Trials 2020. We are excited to offer a refreshed preliminary cross-country course with a new track and a few new fences designed by John Michael Durr. We love hosting you at our clinics or schooling XC and SJ. $30.00 per schooling day or even better join our club for $30.00 individual, $50.00 family. Ride as often as you like. Overnight and day pens available. Opening to be announced. Look for the announcement on the PBEA website sometime in May once the footing improves. Plan your schooling days! Event Fee Directory: XENTRY Required Payment. NO checks!! Entry: P: $230.00; PT/T/N/BN: $210.00; P/T/N or BN Combined Test: $150.00; Intro: $150.00. No additional USEA fees for Intro. See notes below for combined test competitors. Competitor Numbers – NO Pinnys – Bring Number Holder Bib. Stabling: $100.00 for the weekend - One bag of bedding included. Wash stall nearby. Arrival on Thursday 7/9, 3 PM and after can be arranged, email [email protected] Must depart by noon 7/13. Extra bedding pre-ordered and paid for via XEntry before closing: $7 per bag. Free Tack Stalls – Note on XEntry. Non-compete horses - $100.00 for the weekend. Limited # of bags will be available after pre-order closes (cash only - purchase onsite): $10.00 per bag. Intro participants are exempt from USEA membership/non-membership fees and the USEA Starter Fee does not apply. Rules do apply so READ the Rule Book! Combined Test competitors are exempt from USEA membership but will be charged a $25.00 non-membership fee if not a member. Horses in combined tests are not required to be USEA registered. Health requirements still necessary for stall use. AT LEAST THREE COMPETITORS TO RUN THE DIVISION. Ribbons through 6th place and prizes through 3rd place. Non-members can still use XEntry by creating an ID number via the new user function on USEA site. NO CHECKS. Entering electronically: Payment before closing date and ESigned signature page, coggins and vaccination record must be 100% completed NLT 7/6 or no ride times. NO CHECKS. LATE and other Fees: If space allows and post entries are accepted they will be charged an additional $30 late fee. Electronic payment will still be required and arrangements made with the organizer as XENTRY closes within 24 hrs of the event closing date. Scratches/Changes must be in writing via email only to [email protected]. Any refunds released the week following the event. CHANGES after closing date subject to a $30 change fee. Health Documentation: Competitors must be prepared to show documentation of the following to gain access to stall area: Negative Coggins within 12 months and equine influenza virus and equine herpes virus (rhinopneumonitis) vaccinations within six months prior to entering the stables. ENSURE online coggins is current through the HT event dates. They are audited. Health Certificates required for out of state horses. Brand Inspection required in WY. Refunds: Before C.D.-Less $25 non-refundable office fee; After C.D.-Entry-No refund. Competition Cancellation: Refund after competition expenditures. USEA Starter and D&M Fees Refund Policy: The USEA Starter and D&M fees ($25), are not subjected to office fees, and shall be returned within 30 days of the competition to any rider who does not start the dressage test.

Entries

All entries include a $25 non-refundable office fee. Preliminary competitors must be current USEF members or pay the USEF $45 show pass fee. BN and above must be USEA members and horses must be registered with USEA. Intro is exempt from USEA Starter/D&M fees and USEA membership/non-membership fees are waived. $30.00 fee for any changes or entries after closing date. Double entries: Not accepted. Xentry please remember that entry must be paid by closing date & eSignatures completed NLT 7/6 to be provided a ride time. Entry Status will be posted on Startbox: www.startboxscoring.com

Awards

Ribbons to 6th place & prizes through 4th place after each division. Four (4) 1st place winners (P, T, N and BN) receive the coveted Powder Basin Belt Buckle.

Stabling/Veterinarian

Thursday-Sun $100.00 for the weekend. Declare stabling needs regarding adjacent competitors and groups to be placed together on XEntry. Send stall form via email ([email protected]) if you need other special accommodations for the horse. 100+ perm stalls on grounds. Room for non-compete horses but health and stall fees apply. Stall doors included. One bag of shavings provided. Pre-order more bedding at $7 per bag. Limited additional shavings available to purchase on the show grounds at $10.00 per bag (CASH only!). Several local farm stores have additional bedding. Free tack stalls – declare on Xentry. Veterinarian: AMC, 307-682-1507.

Cross-Country

In 2020 we will have refreshed our course and have a new track for Preliminary. Some new obstacles throughout several divisions. Terrain is substantial so fit horses are suggested. Intro has water options and a half ditch, height goes to 2’3”. P - Intro -Updated distances and times closer to the event. Cross-country course closes Tuesday, June 30.
