NJ Region's H.T.

This will be our second year as a USEA recognized event. We are adding $1000 in prize money to be awarded through 4th place in all open divisions (M,T,N,BN). We will also host our XC fun day on Saturday, June 1st at the Pre-Starter and Starter levels. This fun event is open to all. 2019 also marks 65 years of Pony Club in the NJ Region. Our clubs will have celebrations going on all day on Sunday. We invite all current members and their friends and families, alumni, current members, friends and family to join us as we celebrate this milestone of 65 years in NJ. A special souvenir journal is being put together by all the clubs in NJ and we welcome all to place an ad in this publication. Details on our website. Fees

Event Fees Directory - Entry fee: $200.00 all levels plus the USEA Starter fee ($21). This includes a non-refundable $25 office fee.Payments can be made at EventEntries.com by credit card when making your entry. Payments using credit cards or a paypal account can also be made through the payment page on our NJRegionPonyClub.org website.If paying by check: Make checks payable to “The NJ Region Pony Club”. and mail to the organizer. Post/Late Entry fee: $50 -All entries received after CD will be charged this fee.Changes: No charges for cancellation or changes if made by closing date. Changes requested after CD will be charged $30/change. No changes allowed after May 31st.Post Entries: Post entries with late fee will be accepted through May 29th if there is room. Stabling on grounds: $65/stall. Tack stalls $65. No bedding provided, but shavings can be pre-purchased for $8/bag.Stall Cleaning Deposit: Send a separate check for $25. Check will be destroyed if stall is stripped.Non-competing horses must pay a $25 fee, plus the $20 haul in fee, sign in at the office and wear an assigned number while on the Horse Park grounds. Refund policy: Before CD all fees, less $25 Office Fee. After CD: Entry fee – none. Stabling fee will be refunded if horse is scratched and stall not used. Refund due to injury of rider or horse: Entry Fee $100, but Rider/Owner MUST notify organizer in writing or by email prior to competition and MUST provide doctor/veterinary note specifically indicating reason that rider/horse are not physically able to compete at the competition.Stabling refund for such a withdrawal: Less $15/night. Competition Cancellation: no refund. USEA Starter and D&M Fees Refund Policy: The USEA Starter and D&M fees ($21), are not subjected to office fees, and shall be returned within 30 days of the competition to any rider who does not start the dressage test. Qualifying Eventing Rally - for pony club members only who wish to qualifying for USPC Championships East. These Championships will be held at Tryon International Equestrian Center, Mill Spring, NC July 24 to July 28th. See NJRegionPonyClub.org for more info on this rally. Entry will be done online on that website.

Entries

Entry fee includes a $25 non-refundable office fee. $50.00 returned check fee. Entries for which no payment is received will not be assigned ride times. Negative coggins within 12 months must accompany entry. Horses without a copy of current coggins will not be allowed on grounds. USEA membership for riders and USEA horse registration (limited or full) is required for all horses. All scratches must be sent via email: [email protected]. Absolutely no telephone withdrawals, changes, or stabling requests will be accepted. Please communicate all messages using email. Post entries will be accepted thru May 29th, if space allows, and the $50 late fee will apply.

Cross Country Speed and approximate lengths for levels: Modified: 2500m @ 490 mpm Training: 2200m @ 450 mpm Novice: 2000m @ 400 mpm BN: 1700m @ 350 mpm Terrain Rolling, great footing. BN, N, T, M courses: Average difficulty for horses with some experience at these levels. Water complex for all levels! XC not opened for schooling except on scheduled schooling days. ESDCTA will host a XC schooling on the Sunday following this horse trials.

Awards

New this year - $1000 in prize money will be awarded to the riders placing 1 to 4th in the open divisions. Money will be awarded as follows: $500 for first, $250 for second, $150 for third and $100 for fourth. Prizes for 1st place in all divisions. Ribbons through 8th place for overall placings. Ribbons through 6th will be awarded for dressage placings in all divisions.

Stabling/Veterinarian

Veterinarian:Number will be posted at Secretary's Office and in the barn. Farrier:Number will be posted at Secretary's Office and in the barn. 275 permanent stalls on grounds, $65/night. Day stalls available at $55/ea. Stall doors only provided. Bedding available for pre-purchase at $8/bag. . NO STRAW ALLOWED. Stall cleaning deposit ($25) required. Please send a separate check for $25 for each stall. If stall is stripped, check will be destroyed or returned.

Dressage

Dressage Tests: All held in a small arena Beginner Novice: 2018 USEF Beginner Novice Test B; Novice: 2018 USEF Novice Test B; Training: 2018 USEF Training Test B; Modified: 2018 Modified Test A. Arenas Small arenas – All-weather footing composed of sand and screenings for dressage and stadium arenas. Show Jumping– will be held on sand.

Cross-Country

Other Information

Levels may be divided/combined as entries warrant; state preferences under the Eligible Section (rider/horse/JrYR/open) and birth date on entry. Paper numbers will be used for XC. Please bring your plastic pinny. Bridle numbers will be used for dressage. Dogs must be leashed with human attached: $50 fine for loose dogs Food available on grounds.
