Nestled among the Wasatch Mountain Range in Ogden, Utah lies the Golden Spike Event Center, home of the Golden Spike Horse Trials. For the past 32 years, the Wasatch Pony Club has organized the Golden Spike Horse Trials, welcoming riders from all over the West to experience the beauty of Utah and one of two USEA recognized events in the state.
Over 400 horses galloped through the pine trees last weekend at the Carolina Horse Park for the sixth annual Cloud 11~Gavilan North LLC Carolina International CCI and Horse Trials in Raeford, N.C. By Sunday afternoon 11 horses and riders earned blue ribbons, but for the rest, they had their memories of another event in the books.

For the third year in the row, the Great Meadow International CICO3* in The Plains, Virginia, hosted the only leg of the FEI Eventing Nations Cup that takes place on North American soil. Australia, Canada, Great Britain, Switzerland, and the United States were all represented within the 46 horse-and-rider field.
Last weekend, a total of 23 teams and over 85 riders representing 18 schools competed for the title of Intercollegiate Champions at the Virginia Horse Trials in Lexington, Virginia. Ultimately, it was Team Auburn Orange from Auburn University that came out on top and took home the Championship title.
The 2018 Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event is in the history books and we have a whole year to wait until the #BestWeekendAllYear rolls around again. For so many riders, galloping across the bluegrass of the Kentucky Horse Park is the pinnacle of their dreams. Gallop along with the riders as they realize those dreams through the lens of the USEA.
Chattahoochee Hills in Fairburn, Georgia was one of two events hosting Adequan USEA Gold Cup divisions over Easter weekend, with 23 in the CIC3* division and another 10 in the Advanced division and several horses and riders making their final prep runs before heading to the Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event CCI4* later this month.
Surrounded by the foothills of Temecula Valley, Galway Downs in Temecula, California, hosted the Galway Downs International Horse Trials two weeks ago. The nearly 300 riders in attendance competing in Novice through Intermediate horse trials and CIC*, CIC2*, and Adequan USEA Gold Cup CIC3* divisions enjoyed the sunny skies and balmy temperatures that Southern California is known for this time of year.
There were only a few glimpses of sunshine during the Carolina International CIC and Horse Trials, but the 487 horses and riders made the best of the unseasonable weather and enjoyed four days of top competition. Set among the pine trees in Raeford, N.C. the Carolina Horse Park is home to the Carolina International which offers divisions from Training through the Adequan USEA Gold Cup CIC3*.
The Red Hills International Horse Trials took place last weekend amidst a backdrop of Spanish moss at the Elinor Klapp-Phipps Park in Tallahassee, Florida, and horses and riders came out to shake off some of the winter cobwebs and kick off the East Coast FEI eventing season.
