The third annual So8ths/Nikon Three-Day Event in the“Heart of the Carolinas” takes place May 2-5 in Chesterfield, SC. Now’s your chance to see what this event is about by reliving all the action thanks to a creative video produced by nFocus Pictures and visible on Southern 8ths’ YouTube channel.
On February 1, 2012, the US Eventing Association approved a policy change to permit Beginner Novice and Novice riders to compete in recognized Classic Format Three-Day Event Tests. This historic ruling now allows those riders that represent the majority of the sport’s participants to earn USEA National Year-end Points and Eventing Championship Qualifications when they compete in the Classic version of the sport.
The riders couldn’t say enough nice things about Heart of the Carolinas Three-Day Event in Chesterfield, SC at Southern Eighths Farm. They loved the facility, the organization, the footing, the courses, the jumps – just everything. When it was all over Jim Baker and Wings claimed the victory in the Beginner-Novice division (58.30). “The format and the organization were topnotch. I can’t say enough about it,” he readily commented.
On April 30th the key day of the Heart of the Carolinas Three-Day Event took place with great results. Mother Nature was kind bringing beautiful weather for the Beginner Novice Three-day, Novice Three-day and SmartPak Equine/USEA Training Three-day divisions. When the day was over, Becky Brown rode EZ to the top place with a score of 32.90 in T3D.
For the first of three days for the Heart of the Carolinas Three-Day Event, taking place at Southern Eighths Farm in Chesterfield, SC, April 29-May 1, three divisions were featured: Beginner Novice Three-Day, Novice Three-Day and a SmartPak/USEA Training Three-Day. In the Dressage, Jim Baker and Wings are leading the way in Beginner Novice with a score of 42.3.
Long Live the Long Format at Southern Eighths Farm, located in the middle of USEA Areas II & III on the North and South Carolina border in Chesterfield, SC, the Heart of the Carolinas Long Format Three-Day is the amateur rider’s “Rolex”.
