Between 200-300 horses were turned out from corrals in Paradise, California as the wildfire in Butte County approached. They ran for their lives, and are burned, injured, scared, hungry, and thirsty. They can't graze; there is no food. The creeks are dry this time of year.

Many people have been forced to flee their homes, farms, and ranches, with little or no warning, turning horses and livestock loose to fend for themselves and hope for their survival.
Fires blazing across the Colorado landscape have together burned more than 100,000 acres in the past few weeks. The Waldo Canyon and High Park fires near Colorado Springs and Fort Collins respectively have ravaged the natural beauty of the area, destroyed nearby homes, and left many displaced people wondering what to do next.
By opening the iconic grounds of the Plantation Field Horse Trials to a rare cross-country schooling day, Plantation Field Equestrian Events is proud to announce it raised $8,000 to help the victims of the True Prospect Farm barn fire. Approximately 200 horses and riders visited Plantation Field, in Unionville, Pa., on June 13 to school over the jumps and support Boyd Martin, Ryan Woods, Caitlin Silliman and Lillian Heard, the four local riders affected by the fire.
Equestrian Events, Inc. (EEI), producer of the Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event, presented by Bridgestone, has joined the effort to provide financial assistance to Eventing rider Boyd Martin in the aftermath of the tragic fire on May 31 at True Prospect Farm in West Grove, PA.
The Horse World Gives Back Campaign begins today with the three hour LIVE Radiothon from 6 - 9 pm Eastern at www.horseworldgivesback.com when leading riders including Debbie McDonald, Heather Blitz, Karen O'Connor, Max Corcoran, Jennie Brannigan and Allison Springer will give their support to the horse world in its effort to raise funds for the victims of natural disasters.
Schooling Day Benefit Monday, June 13, 2011 2-8pm... PFEE, Inc. will conduct an open cross country schooling to benefit the victims of the terrible fire at True Prospect Farm. All proceeds from the schooling session will go directly to those involved in this tragedy.
The True Prospect Fire Relief Online Auction will take place on Ebay. PRO will be working with the Southern California Equestrian Sports Foundation (SCES) to organize the auction that will benefit all those affected by the barn fire at True Prospect Farm.
In conjunction with the Alan Shinton Team Challenge, Bromont is excited to hold a Calcutta auction to raise funds for Lillian Heard, Caitlin Silliman and Ryan Wood. These are the three aspiring riders who lived above the barn at True Prospect and whose possessions were destroyed by fire.
It is with deepest sorrow over the tragedy at True Prospect Farm that Carolina Horse Park announces a portion of all proceeds from the upcoming Lumber River Starter Horse Trials will be donated to the fire recovery funds.
