Tamie Smith is your overall FEI division winner the Woodside International Horse Trials. Smith continues to prove she is a force to be reckoned with and this weekend was no different. With nine horses in the FEI divisions and one horse in Training, she was non-stop all weekend.

It was another great day of competition with even better weather here at the Woodside International Horse Trials, with the CCI3*-S through Introductory levels finishing up their dressage followed by some late afternoon show jumping for all FEI levels as well as Advanced and Intermediate.

We started the weekend off with the CCI4*-S dressage here at Woodside International Horse Trials. With 15 riders taking part in this competitive division and twelve points separating the field after dressage, the pressure is on for show jumping and cross-country. Tamie Smith has taken the early lead, placing first on Ruth Bley's Danito and second on Judith McSwain's Fleeceworks Royal.

Ebay had a nice pre-wedding gift for his owner Helen Bouscaren. It took the form of what the bride-to-be described as a “very brave” run over Ian Stark’s CCI4*-S course at the Woodside International Horse Trials, where the international divisions concluded in Woodside, California.

Steering clear of the spooky-fun graveyard in the middle of this afternoon’s Woodside International show jumping course, CCI4*-S, CCI3*-S, and CCI2*-S contenders vied for pole position on Saturday’s cross-country in front of a VIP dinner crowd. The mood was festive, but the competition fierce while navigating course designer Marc Donovan’s creative multiple-choice test of skill and scope.

“The Woodside International Horse Trials brings out the best in competition at all levels,” says organizer Robert Kellerhouse as he and his team make final preparations for the October 4-6 Woodside International Horse Trials.
