The USEA Interscholastic Eventing League was created in August 2020 with the goal of providing team experience and building camaraderie among USEA Young Rider program members in grades 7 through 12. IEL Affiliates are comprised of young riders who share a common bond, such as attending the same school, riding at the same barn or being on the same pony club, for example.
Mother Nature helped welcome nearly 150 upper-level event riders back to Fair Hill, Maryland, for one of the first – and northernmost – international competitions of the spring season in Area II. On a week that started with bone-rattling cold wind, snow, and sleet, the Fair Hill competitors and officials enjoyed mild, breezy, sunny days that invited shorts and shades.

Mara DePuy and Congo Brazzaville Z moved into first in The Dutta Corp./USEF CCI4*-L Eventing National Championship with their 28.6, while Alexa Gartenberg and Louis M claimed the pinnacle position in The Dutta Corp./USEF CCI3*-L Eventing National Championship on a 25.9.
Dressage took center stage on the blustery first day of The Dutta Corp. Fair Hill International Three-Day with both the CCI4*-L and CCI3*-L kicking off. Fair Hill International will present live music, dog competitions, shopping, fantastic fall food, and multiple demonstrations.
The Dutta Corp. Fair Hill International Three-Day Event (FHI) will host the U.S. Equestrian CCI4*-L and CCI3*-L Fall Eventing Championships along with the USEA Young Event Horse East Coast Championships presented by Dubarry, October 17-20 at the Fair Hill Natural Resource Management Area. Fair Hill International in partnership with the Fair Hill Foundation today announced Ian Stark has been hired to design its new cross-country course in preparation of hosting a five-star competition in 2020. As Fair Hill’s cross-country course designer, Stark will direct the layout of the new track and utilize the terrain to make it both unique and challenging.
