Transylvania University Names Abby Blackburn Female Athlete of the Year
On Sunday, May 19 in Lexington, Kentucky, Transylvania University hosted their annual all-sport athletic banquet with one team missing. The eventing team was on their way home from the 2019 USEA Intercollegiate Eventing Championship at Chattahoochee Hills Horse Trials in Fairburn, Georgia.

Transylvania University is Bats for Eventing as a Varsity Sport
Transylvania University was founded in 1780, the first college West of the Allegheny mountains and the 19th oldest in the nation. The Eventing team was founded at the University as a varsity sport in the Fall of 2012. Transylvania University, lovingly referred to as simply “Transy”, is a small private liberal arts college in the heart of Lexington, Kentucky.
