Fleeceworks Royal and Emporium were both competing in the CCI5*-L at the Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event presented by MARS Equestrian.

Two Americans are starting their weekend with at least one prize already in hand as they were awarded best dressed by Dubarry of Ireland.

An unprecedented outpouring of public support and a grassroots fundraising effort have led to a reversal of the announced cancellation of the Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event CCI Five-Star presented by MARS Equestrian™ (LRK3DE).

The Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event presented by MARS Equestrian™ (LRK3DE) will not hold its famed five-star three-day event this year, previously scheduled for April 22-25. The Kentucky CSI3* Invitational Grand Prix presented by Hagyard Equine Medical Institute and other events are being explored to be held over that weekend but without spectators.

I can honestly say I have never looked forward to the start of a new year more than I have now. For Equestrian Events (EEI), our 2020 was filled by the sadness caused by the cancellation of the Kentucky Three-Day Event, the Kentucky Invitational Grand Prix, and finally the USEA American Eventing Championships presented by Nutrena Feeds.

Tickets for the 2021 Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event presented by MARS Equestrian™ and the $225,000 Kentucky CSI3* Invitational Grand Prix presented by Hagyard Equine Medical Institute will go on sale in January 2021. Equestrian Events Inc. (EEI), which produces both world-class events, is delaying the opening of ticket sales because of remaining uncertainties related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Equestrian Events Inc. (EEI) has announced cancellation of this year’s Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event presented by MARS Equestrian™ and Kentucky CSI3* Invitational Grand Prix presented by Hagyard Equine Medical Institute. The events had been scheduled for April 23-26 at the Kentucky Horse Park.

Oliver Townend, the winner of the Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event presented by Mars Equestrian won $130,000 in prize money, a new Rolex Oyster Perpetual watch, and a 12-month lease for a 2019 Land Rover Discovery. Based on where they placed, the top 20 competitors also shared proportionally in the $400,000 pot of prize money.

Defending champion Oliver Townend of Great Britain and Cooley Master Class head a list of 54 horse-and-rider combinations representing eight nations entered for the 41st annual Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event Presented by Mars Equestrian, which returns to the Kentucky Horse Park April 25-28, 2019.

The Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event (LRK3DE), the nation's premier eventing competition, has received the new five-star status from the Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI), the international governing body of equestrian sport. The new status, along with its respective requirements and rules, will take effect January 1, 2019. The Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event CCI5*-L, returns to the Kentucky Horse Park, April 25-28, 2019.
