The USEA is saddened to report that horsewoman Lefreda Williams died on Aug. 29. She was 87. Williams was a pillar of the North Carolina equestrian community and a founding member of the Carolina Horse Park in Raeford, North Carolina.

The Lumber River Horse Trials are in need of volunteers next Sunday, June 12th at Carolina Horse Park. Volunteers are needed for all three phases - Dressage, Show Jumping and Cross Country.
It is with deepest sorrow over the tragedy at True Prospect Farm that Carolina Horse Park announces a portion of all proceeds from the upcoming Lumber River Starter Horse Trials will be donated to the fire recovery funds. Beginning in 2010, the Carolina Horse Park plans to undertake a broad based Capital Campaign.
