Great Britain’s Piggy French jumped two spectacular clear rounds to finish first and third in the principal CCI4*-L class at SsangYong Blenheim Palace Horse Trials on Alison Swinburn and John and Chloe Perry’s Brookfield Inocent and Susanna Paybody’s Castletown Clover.
The in-form Piggy French is on track to nail yet another international victory this season as she has taken the lead after cross-country in the CCI4*-L at SsangYong Blenheim Palace Horse Trials with a superb round on Alison Swinburn and the Perrys’ Brookfield Inocent, a 10-year-old Irish Sport Horse gelding (Inocent x Shalies Pet) having his first run at this level.
The stage is set this week for the most exciting running of the SsangYong Blenheim Palace Horse Trials to date on September 19-22, 2019. All of the British eventing scene’s top riders, plus many from around the world, are preparing to tackle one of the UK’s most prestigious and popular horse trials, where the newly launched SsangYong Korando SUV will also star, in the unparalleled surroundings of the Blenheim Palace estate in Oxfordshire.
The USA’s Kim Severson won the main CCI3* class at the SsangYong Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials, 16 years after her first victory at the Oxfordshire event.
