William Micklem coaches riders on the importance of maintaining softness in the rein so as not to interfere with the horse while he’s jumping. He instructs a rider with a nervous horse through an exercise to keep the horse from rushing the fence by circling left and right in front of the fence. In addition, he talks about some of the other fundamentals that are important for training a horse and rider and the importance of setting correct and appropriate distances in combinations.
