2010 USEA Annual Meeting & Convention: Training Tips from Top Riders

Join Phillip Dutton, Becky Holder, Karen O'Connor, Amy Tryon, Oliver Townend, Buck Davidson, and Allison Springer for the hour-long question and answer session that took place on Friday afternoon at the 2010 USEA Annual Meeting and Convention in Scottsdale, Arizona. Questions addressed include: Achieving the correct canter, dealing with separation anxiety, bouncing back after a bad experience at a competition, introducing kids to eventing, training a horse with a loose front end, knowing when to step a horse up to the next level, training tips for busy amateur riders, how to train yourself to be less dependent upon your hands while riding, how many horse trials per year is too many, training horses who over jump, and general advice to all eventers.
