On Saturday afternoon at the 2010 USEA Annual Meeting and Convention in Scottsdale, Arizona, the United States Eventing Association's new president, Brian Sabo, took the podium at the Meeting of Members to deliver his inaugural address. He stressed his pledge to serve the Association and its membership with an even keel dexterity, and serve all representative groups within it on an equal level; from amateur to professional to young rider to organizer to breeder to owner to course designer to official. He also put to rest the "powers that be" notion. "You," he said addressing the hundreds of members in attendance, "are the powers that be."
