Over 150 rider and horse combinations representing six nations rode in front of FEI officials from around the world at the Bromont Olympic Equestrian Park in the picturesque rolling hills of Bromont, Quebec.
Lower entries due to Coronavirus (COVID-19) restrictions and a bit of wet weather leading up to the Bromont CCI-S did nothing to hold back the enthusiasm for this competition. Sue Ockendon, organizer of the MARS Bromont CCI Three-Day Event and the FEI Eventing Nations Cup announced today that the event has decided to consider dates further along the calendar. The COVID-19 pandemic has made it difficult for Bromont to confirm that it would be possible for competitors to travel on August 15-18.
Bromont Horse Trials Inc, organizers of the MARS Equestrian Bromont CCI Three-Day Event scheduled for June 3 to 7 have announced the cancellation of this event for 2020. Little Bromont planned for June 13, the following weekend at the Bromont Olympic Equestrian Park, is also not expected to run.
The riders who received grants from the Mars Bromont Rising U25 Program lost no time in putting what they had learned to good use at the Ocala Jockey Club International Three-Day Event, held November 13-17, 2019 in Ocala, Florida.
The new Mars Bromont Rising U25 Program will now be administered by the USEA Foundation. The program was first introduced at Bromont Three-day Event last June when nine riders under the age of 25 were awarded grants of $3,000 Canadian to assist with the expenses incurred in preparing for and competing in the Bromont CCI.
Following a hugely successful debut in June 2019 at the Bromont Three-Day Event, the MARS Bromont Rising Program will be offered at the Ocala Jockey Club International Three-Day Event, November 14-17, 2019.

The CCI2*-L U25, which was the first section to complete dressage, saw Michael Pendleton (USA) move into the lead on a score of 30.30 riding Boyd Martin and Stephen Blauner’s 7-year-old Irish Sport Horse, Carlsburg (Puissance x Flame and Passion).
