The USEA Area III Young Rider Program is currently accepting resumes/bids for the 2018-2020 competition years for Young Rider Summer Camp Trainers and North American Junior Championship (NAJC) and CICOY Nations Cup Coach. Job descriptions, terms, resume requirements for both positions are listed below.
The “Cross The Border Summer Camp” is just around the corner. Organized by Area II and Area III Young Riders, all USEA members are welcomed, young and old. Camp will be held July 21-25, 2020 at the Tryon International Equestrian Center (TIEC) in Mill Spring, North Carolina. Riders from Areas II, III, V, and VIII are already registered – come join the fun.
The purpose of the Young Rider Program, offered through the USEA, is to encourage our Young Riders’ to be “involved in the sport of Eventing and perhaps continue this involvement into their adult lives.” Accommodating riders of all levels, the organization seeks to “create a love of the sport, an appreciation and understand of the horse as well as responsibility.” In addition, we hope to “generate involvement early on, helping lower level riders to realize their goals and eventually achieve success at the higher levels through dedication, hard work and discipline.”
Area III Young Riders & Adult Riders will be offering a long-format clinic with two-star rider and trainer Ruthie Harbison. The clinic will take place at Rocking Horse Stables in Altoona, FL on Feb. 29-March 1. The clinic is open to ALL levels, from Tadpole to FEI, for riders wanting to learn the horsemanship of training for a full format event.
